New Report from US Senators Says US is Complicit in Israel’s Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza

Chris Van Hollen from Maryland and Jeff Merkley from Oregon, both members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, presented their findings in a report released on Thursday, which followed their recent congressional delegation trip to the Middle East. The two Democratic senators have reached what they describe as an “inescapable conclusion” regarding Israel’s actions in Gaza, claiming that there is a deliberate strategy in place aimed at the annihilation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

The report emphasises how the Israeli government has used the tragedies of October 7th to advance their long-held goals of renewed Israeli control over Gaza and the West Bank, including annexation and settler violence against Palestinians.
