Wake Up! You Have Been Deceived by the Man Behind the Curtain

A Message for a Sleeping World

“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” — Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)

The time has come to wake up. Many people believe they are walking in truth, yet they are unknowingly following the lies of Satan.

The Bible declares that Satan is the “god of this world,” blinding the minds of those who do not believe, keeping them from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

From the beginning, when he deceived Adam and Eve, Satan has sought to usurp God’s authority and rule over the hearts of men through lies, pride, and temptation. As satan is the god of this world, don’t you think that he would have his deceptive hand in almost everything possible…even religion?

Though he has temporary power over the worldly systems and influences that lead people astray, his reign is limited and destined for destruction. Jesus Christ will soon return to overthrow the works of the devil and establish His everlasting Kingdom of righteousness and truth.

The Great Deception

Satan rarely shows himself as evil. He disguises himself as light. This is the number one clue to watch for as you begin to wake up to his evil deception.

“For Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” — 2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)

He enters churches that preach comfort but not repentance. He builds religions that exalt tradition over truth. He whispers lies that make sin seem harmless and holiness seem impossible.
And people — good, sincere people — follow those lies because they sound right.

But the Word of God cuts through the noise:

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” — Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

Why It’s Urgent to Wake Up

The Bible tells us:

“Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” — Romans 13:11 (KJV)

Every day, the deception deepens. Evil is called good, and good is mocked as evil. The hearts of many grow cold. Governments, schools, and even some churches are turning away from the truth of God’s Word.

This isn’t random — it’s the spiritual preparation for the rise of the Antichrist and the one-world system described in Revelation 13. If people don’t wake up now, they’ll be swept into that system, thinking it’s peace when it’s actually bondage.

You can see this play out in your circle of friends and family. Some are VERY awake, realizing the deception in so many aspects of their lives. And others, simply not wanting to be bothered with all of these truths being exposed because of the uneasiness that it brings. It is also difficult for some people to admit that they have been “scammed” by trusted agencies, and leaders.

The Truth That Sets You Free

Jesus said:

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32 (KJV)

Freedom doesn’t come from religion, government, or wealth — it comes from the truth of Jesus Christ. To wake up is to realize that this world is temporary, that sin leads to death, and that only Christ’s blood can cleanse the heart and open the eyes.

When people wake up, they begin to see how Satan has used distraction, fear, and false comfort to keep them from a living relationship with Jesus.

There Is No Neutral Ground

“He that is not with me is against me.” — Matthew 12:30 (KJV)

No one can stand in the middle. You either belong to Christ or you’re caught in the enemy’s web. Satan wants people to believe they can stay “neutral” — that as long as they’re good, they’re fine. But Scripture says otherwise.

The only safety in this dark world is under the covering of Jesus Christ. His truth protects. His Spirit guides. His love delivers.

The Call to Wake Up

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not.” — 1 Corinthians 15:34 (KJV)

It’s time for believers to stop sleeping through the battle. We must shine the light of Christ boldly, warn others of the deception, and lead them to the Savior who sets captives free.

This is not a message of fear — it’s a message of mercy. God is calling His people out of confusion and compromise before the storm fully hits. When you wake up, you help others wake up too.

So, open your eyes. Read the Word. Repent of the lies you’ve believed. And stand firm in Jesus Christ, for “the night is far spent, the day is at hand” (Romans 13:12).

What is likely to happen to people who do not wake up for the end times?

According to the King James Version (KJV), those who do not “wake up” or spiritually prepare for the end times will likely face deception, judgment, and ultimately God’s wrath during the Tribulation. The Bible repeatedly warns that spiritual blindness and rejection of God’s truth will leave people vulnerable to Satan’s lies and the coming Antichrist.

Here are key passages:

• Deception by Satan – “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV)

Those who remain spiritually asleep are blinded to the truth and easily deceived.

• Strong Delusion – “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 KJV)

Those who reject Christ before the Tribulation may be given over to deception, believing the Antichrist’s false claims.

• Sudden Destruction – “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” (1 Thessalonians 5:3 KJV)

The end times will catch the unprepared off guard, just like the Flood in Noah’s day.

• Wrath of God – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9 KJV)

Believers in Christ are saved from God’s wrath, but unbelievers face the full judgment of the Tribulation.

Understanding the end-times is nothing to fear. If you are experiencing fear, you can overcome this emotion by trusting Jesus Christ in the promises that He has given to us. Through the study of the Bible, you will be able to learn of all of the things that he has planned for His Church.

Each time that I write postings that detail waking up for the end-times, I am reminded how Noah must have felt. He spent YEARS warning the people of his time that the great flood was coming, yet they mocked him, and turned away from his divine warning.

Matthew 24:37–39 (KJV)

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

This passage is Jesus warning that the world will be living in a state of spiritual blindness and normalcy just before His return—people will go about their daily lives, unaware of the judgment that’s about to come, just as they did before the flood.

And… History once again will repeat itself. Are you preparing to board the ark? Can you hear the whisperings from God letting you know that you need to prepare, by learning of Him, repenting, and giving your life to following His teachings as recorded in the Bible?

Ask Him to help you distinguish deception in your own life, and He will. For, you will see that satan is all over this world, disguised as “light” and “good.”
