BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | April 9, 2025: The western press is reporting that US negotiators are in direct talks with Iran for a meeting on Saturday April 12 in Oman, and President Donald Trump said that Iran should do a deal, but if not, the obvious will happen – an attack on Iran.
Iran said it wants to see a concrete goodwill gesture from the US before any face-to-face talks between the officials of both countries take place. But while it is ready for dialogue with the US, any talks must be indirect and backed by guarantees, said President Masoud Pezeshkian, who noted that a lack of trust is behind Iran’s position.
Since returning to the office of the president in January, Trump has reinstated his “maximum pressure” policy by continuing to accuse Iran of pursuing to develop a nuclear bomb, imposing fresh sanctions on the country’s oil sector.
Staunch Zionist henchman and prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has put Trump on notice that if Iran does not make a deal to disarm under the supervision of the United States, then Iran must be given the Libya-style treatment, – meaning, massive bombing of its nuclear research facilities (, while Israel gets to keep their nuclear research facilities).
