Jets Dealing With Multiple Injuries Ahead of Dolphins Meeting

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Following their close win against the Falcons, a 27-24 victory, the Jets are dealing with a few crucial injuries to key players ahead of their upcoming showdown against the Dolphins this Sunday.  The AFC East clash will have the Jets lacking defensive depth on the back end.

Head coach Aaron Glenn offered an up-to-date injury report that revealed nickel back Jarvis Brownlee Jr and linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball have both sustained injuries that will render them unavailable for their week 14 contest.  According to Glenn, Brownlee is dealing with a hip injury while McCrary-Ball is dealing with a balky hamstring.

As the Jets look to stay in evaluation mode, the defense will be stretched thin as they hope to show some consistency after winning three of their last five.  For fans and gamblers alike who are looking to bet on sports with cryptocurrency for its rapid transactions and extensive markets, these mid-week lineup changes could change the outlook and consequent wagers placed.

The Jets pulled off a gritty victory against the Falcons last weekend, but the matchup against the Dolphins represents a whole different caliber of opponent.  Loaded with speed on offense capable of explosive plays, being without two starters in the back seven is less than ideal.  Brownlee looked to be healthy after missing last week’s game but re-appeared on the final injury report of the week.

McCrary-Ball has also battled with injury throughout the season. The linebacker has only managed to appear in 5 out of the 12 Jets games so far this season.  Adding these two players only adds to the growing list of injuries the Jets defense continues to deal with. Safety Tony Adams and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips both missed practice on Wednesday, but the head coach believes they may make their return on Sunday.

Cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers remains under concussion protocol, while Jermain Johnson II and Will McDonald IV have had limited participation due to returns from injury.

Despite appearing on the injury report the Jets are cautiously optimistic that some of the names on the injury report will be good to go come
time for the game.  Aaron Glenn thinks some will make a return to the team, and if not, the team has adopted a contingency plan across multiple positions to cover the absentees.

However, given that they are pitted against the division rival Dolphins, the Jets defensive frailty could be costly. This defensive uncertainty has been a theme for the Jets throughout the season, yet despite this, they have continued to stay competitive and will hope this continues to be the case.

The Jets will need a monumentally resilient effort to contain some of the Dolphins speedy playmakers if they hope to win their fourth game in their last six contests and it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.  Here’s to keeping the momentum going.
