Chicago Bears make interesting argument about Soldier Field amid new stadium talk
Chicago Bears CEO and president Kevin Warren has not made much headway in getting a new stadium project finalized in Cook County or the city of Chicago.

Earlier in December, Warren made a pitch for exploring an opportunity to build in Northwest Indiana. All three plans include stadium plans that are not fan-friendly.
Chicago wants to build more suites instead of trying to increase fan capacity. The Bears also want to modernize their stadium by making it a dome.

On Wednesday, when talking about Caleb Williams throwing a 46-yard touchdown pass in overtime to beat the Green Bay Packers, Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle explained why Soldier Field can be an advantage over visiting teams.
“We do feel like it’s an advantage for us because it does get windy, we do have to play in the elements and we feel like we have a quarterback that can cut the wind a little bit,” Doyle said. “Regardless of where we’re playing or what the conditions are, we feel like he’s going to be able to throw the ball well.”
With a dome, that advantage will go away.
So will playing in cold temperatures in Chicago. “Bear Weather” won’t be a thing if Warren is able to do his job and get a stadium built.
Here’s hoping Warren continues to be stymied while the Bears are good under head coach Ben Johnson. The stadium the Bears want to build is crappy, and Soldier Field at least provides atmosphere even if the crowd size isn’t ideal.
