NFL Power Rankings NFL Power Rankings NFL Power Rankings

Week Eleven of the NFL season is here, which means we are past the halfway mark, and teams are showing us who they really are. Some look nothing like the preseason projections, and others are settling into their true tier. The Jets have moved up a spot in the NFL power rankings after their 2nd win of the season.

NFL Power Rankings Top 10 1. Philadelphia Eagles 7-2 (Last Week: 1)

The Eagles won a road game on Monday night in Green Bay. It does not have to be pretty. Philadelphia has become adept at winning ugly.

What we thought they were: The Eagles would again ride a nearly unstoppable running game into the playoffs to attempt a repeat.
Who they are: An elite team, but Philly is in the bottom ten in total offense, and the running game is middle of the pack.

2. Los Angeles Rams 7-2 (Last Week: 3)

The Rams handled the 49ers with relative ease on Sunday. It was a huge road win in the division.

What we thought they were: A playoff contender missing something to get through to the Super Bowl.
Who they are: Fully stocked. Los Angeles ranks fifth in offense and a win Sunday against Seattle could set them up as a favorite for NFC home-field.

3. Indianapolis Colts 8-2 (Last Week: 4)

The Colts had their hands full with Atlanta in Germany, but they got the win. Indianapolis has the inside track and the schedule to be home for the playoffs.

What we thought they were: An offense that would struggle without a legit starter at quarterback, likely drafting in the top half.
Who they are: Way off on that one. Indy is pushing for AFC home field behind the league’s passing-yards leader, Daniel Jones.

4. Seattle Seahawks 7-2 (Last Week: 5)

Seattle ended things early on Sunday, hammering the Cardinals.

What we thought they were: A team closer to the bottom than the top in a transition year.
Who they are: A real NFC power. A win over the Rams would give them sole possession of first in the NFC West.

5. Detroit Lions 6-3 (Last Week: 7)

Detroit routed Washington on the road. It was the kind of lopsided win many expected more often.

What we thought they were: Favorites to get through the NFC and reach a first Super Bowl.
Who they are: Good, but not 2025-level dominant. Locked in a dogfight for the division.

6. New England Patriots 8-2 (Last Week: 9)

The Patriots scored an impressive road win over Tampa Bay. This team is for real and firmly in the AFC mix.

What we thought they were: Likely stuck in the AFC East basement and picking in the top half of the draft.
Who they are: Surging. Seven straight wins and first place in the division with a manageable path ahead.

7. Denver Broncos 8-2 (Last Week: 8)

It is not pretty, but it is effective. Every game is a rock fight for the offensively challenged Broncos, and they keep winning.

What we thought they were: A nice team, not quite ready to contend.
Who they are: Exactly that. Tough out for anyone, but short on firepower for a deep run.

8. Buffalo Bills 6-3 (Last Week: 6)

Buffalo flamed out in Miami a week after the Kansas City win. A tough letdown.

What we thought they were: Among the league’s best, cruising to a division title and AFC favorite status.
Who they are: Good, not great. Chasing the surprising Patriots and unlikely to catch them given remaining schedules.

9. Kansas City Chiefs 5-4 (Last Week: 10)

Kansas City had a week to stew on the Buffalo loss and now heads to Denver for a big division clash.

What we thought they were: The same battle-tested Chiefs with a defense capable of carrying them to another Super Bowl.
Who they are: A step off that pace. A return trip looks out of reach at the moment.

10. Los Angeles Chargers 7-3 (Last Week: Unranked)

The Chargers handled Pittsburgh on Sunday night. They have won three straight and four of five.

What we thought they were: Talented and dangerous but not yet elite.
Who they are: Right on cue. Good, but line injuries threaten to flip the season.

28. New York Jets 2-7 (Last Week: 29)

Special teams touchdowns are like finding a twenty-dollar bill in your jeans. The Jets needed both to grab a second straight win. No apologies for winning in the NFL. Style points are not a thing, and the Jets will take a win any way we can get one.

What we thought they were: Upgraded in the trenches with promising young talent, a mobile but unproven quarterback, and a solid defense. An entertaining season ahead.
Who they are: Not close. In the mix for the top pick. Justin Fields is playing his way out, and the defense has disappointed.

The road gets tougher after the Ohio sweep. A short week trip to New England awaits. The Patriots control the division and are in the home-field conversation in the AFC, a startling turnaround after back-to-back four-win seasons.

New England is balanced: 10th in offense and 8th in defense, scoring 26.5 per game behind MVP candidate Drake Maye. The names are not flashy, but the production is there at 8-2 with a strong road win in Tampa.

The Jets will need to level up. New England is better than both Cincinnati and Cleveland. New York will be without top receiver Garrett Wilson after a knee injury in Cleveland. The defense may need to stand on its head, and special teams may have to deliver again.
