Nampa Facility Provides Greater Access to Orthopedic Specialists with Expedited Care and Less Cost than the Emergency Room

Nampa, Idaho (MMD Newswire) January 18, 2016 — Within the last year, Allied Orthopedics Group opened two walk-in orthopedic urgent care facilities in Boise – Direct Orthopedic Care (DOC). The facilities and services have been such a success that DOC is opening a new Nampa location today at 16818 N. Market Place Boulevard.

Unfortunately, the patient is then referred by the ER physician to an orthopedic specialist to actually repair the injury. The same visit at Direct Orthopedic Care, with same-day access to a specialist, costs $504.34. DOC also reduces the average Emergency Room waiting time from 2:14 to just less than one hour for the same service.

The need for a long and costly Emergency Room visit to treat orthopedic-related injuries is becoming increasingly obsolete. “With adding a Nampa location to our two Boise locations, our patients have even greater access to the specialists they need while saving considerable time and money,” said Hassinger.
