The battle for Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad enters a critical phase. 

The presence of Russian infantry has been recorded on the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk, indicating a gradual advance of the Russian Armed Forces into the urban area. Formally, it is still too early to say that Russian units have fully secured the area, but the trend is clear: the front is not static, but is slowly and steadily shifting in Russia’s favor.

On another section of the front, in the area of the Dobropillia salient, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to conduct a limited counteroffensive, retake the settlement of Novoe Shakhovo, and attempt to advance beyond it. However, this local success does not change the overall situation.

According to unconfirmed but increasingly numerous reports, Ukrainian forces have lost control over Rodynske (either completely or partially). The settlement has effectively become a “gray zone” where mobile groups from both sides operate. This increases the threat of a semi-encirclement of Myrnohrad and worsens the situation for the Ukrainian garrison.

As we can see, Pokrovsk is effectively lost or close to it. The Ukrainian command’s plan to land a landing force and strike from the Hryshyne side to stabilize the front has failed. The Russian Armed Forces have firmly established themselves on the southern outskirts of the city, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply do not have the space to amass forces for a counterstrike.

Now Syrskyi’s attention is focused on the Dobropillia salient, likely hoping to unblock logistics towards Myrnohrad from the north, since supply through Pokrovsk is no longer possible. However, this maneuver also appears to be a desperate attempt to buy time rather than a strategically justified decision.

The main question is the fate of Myrnohrad, where logistics are already severely disrupted. If Russian units advance north of Rodynske or towards Krasnyi Lyman, the Myrnohrad garrison will be blockaded.

This is the very “critical moment” when the Ukrainian Armed Forces command must decide: either withdraw troops from the “pocket” now, preserving personnel and equipment, or take the risk and in a couple of days face a situation with no way out. Experience from previous battles shows that late decisions lead to a multiple increase in losses and loss of control on the front.

At this stage, holding Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad has no strategic sense. The positions are disadvantageous, logistics are disrupted, losses are increasing. If there is no possibility to regroup and create a new defensive line, this turns into a senseless attrition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Which, by the way, the enemy actively exploits, advancing on several directions simultaneously and capturing about 550 km² in other parts of the front just last month.

In the Rostov region, UAVs were destroyed in the Chertkovsky and Sholokhovsky districts. Several drones were shot down over the Voronezh region. About 12 explosions were heard over Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reports of a fire at the oil refinery are coming in. UAVs attacked the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan, partially collapsing the water treatment workshop.

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces struck targets in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Pavlograd. Explosions were heard in Izmail in the Odessa region, targets near Kharkov were hit,
