“NS” vs. Trumpism

I’m going to respond directly to this comment.

“NS” types seem to come here every single day to ask for this debate. So lets have it.

“Anyone with half a brain can see that national socialism and Trumpism are and must be opposed.”

I fully agree.

MAGA is a political movement.

MAGA has achieved considerable political success.

In this sense, “NS” couldn’t be more different than MAGA. “NS” isn’t a political movement. There are no “NS” candidates. There are no “NS” campaigns. There aren’t any “NS” organizations. Instead, “NS” is focused on convincing Americans NOT to engage in politics, or to support the Left. It is a nihilistic subculture that is focused entirely on losing at politics, business, relationships, life, etc.

I’ve gone out of my way to emphasize that “NS” claims to be associated with Hitler and historic National Socialism, but that it strikes me as having little in common with the original movement. I will repeat again that the “NS” fandom as it exists in America has nothing to do with Germany under National Socialism.

“National socialism creates a Volksgemeinschaft by breaking down sectarian and class barriers. Trumpism turns whites against one another based on class and religion.”

Is this true?

Does “NS” present itself as a White American folk movement? Is it an American nationalist movement? Does it romanticize American culture? Does it use American symbols?

No, that is far more true of MAGA. “NS” is deeply anti-American. It spurns American symbols. It denigrates American culture. “NS” podcasters tend to look down on Americans as whiteoids, rubes, creekshitters, etc. It is a “nationalist” movement for alienated, antisocial weirdos who dislike their nation.

It is Trumpism that resonates with White people of all classes. The majority of the White working class and White middle class voted for Trump. Lots of wealthy White people supported Trump. A majority of White men and White women voted for Trump. In contrast, “NS” appeals to a much narrower demographic … single childless men who are overwhelmingly secular or pagan, many of whom are deeply anti-Christian, who are miserable, socialized by internet ghettoes and who have lost touch with reality.

“National socialism practices kindness to animals. Trumpists ban lab-grown meat so that farmers can make a cheap buck from slaughtering animals. …”

Well, I guess it is true that MAGA isn’t trying to impose veganism on White people, but this only goes to show how weird and bizarre “NS” has become that it speaks to people like that. “NS” strongly appeals to conspiracy theorists, criminals, cranks, weirdos, sociopaths, antisocial contrarians, etc.

“National socialism is a modern, scientific movement that advocates for eugenics. Trumpism embraces backward anti-scientific ideas and opposes eugenics. …”

MAGA appeals to White families who actually have children.

“NS” appeals to bitter single White men who are divorced or childless. It appeals to incels. It appeals to people who are not married and who are unsuccessful in relationships. I don’t see people who are “NS” reproducing which is why I tend to discount their opinions on eugenics.

“National socialism promotes physical fitness and healthy living through institutions like the Hitler Youth. Trumpism has no such institutions, instead selling the false promise of “MAHA.”

“NS” has nothing to do with historic National Socialism or the Hitler Youth.

When Americans think of “NS,” they think of LARPing wignat groups like Blood Tribe screaming on Main Street. They think of Handsome Truth screaming at teenage girls on Omegle.

“Trumpism lies to whites, promising them a paradise and delivering a desert.”

MAGA is in power because it is a political movement that has embraced popular causes and ridden them to victory. In contrast, “NS” bizarrely presents itself to White people as a force that supports Antifa, which supports putting the Left in power to make life more miserable for White America.

“National socialism is the answer.”

“NS” appeals to antisocial weirdos.

I can’t think of anything that better summarizes the state of the “movement” than the recent contrarian embrace of Antifa. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that “NS” will shift into whatever shape is required to stay fringe, weird, marginalized and politically toxic to White people. It rejects popular causes in favor of appealing to the most loathsome White people in America.
