King Charles' Easter Message of Submission

Allow me to preface this by saying that I know that King Charles is battling cancer, and my prayers are for his complete recovery. That said, after reading his Easter message to the British people today, I am more convinced than ever that he is a hopeless boob. Here is the text of his written statement.

Of course, what is raising eyebrows is his irrelevant reference to Islam. I recognize that Charles wants to be “inclusive” on a Christian religious day, and thus, he mentions Islam (and Jews) in the third paragraph. 

At the risk of sounding hypocritical, while I have no problem with the King referencing Jews in his message of peace, I do take issue with the reference to Islam. After all, Britain has no problem with Jews aside from protecting them from Islamists. It does have a severe problem with, let us say, a portion of its Muslim population-the Islamists. Again, as I always do, I want to make it clear I am not criticizing all Muslims in Britain, but it is impossible to overlook the problems, though Charles seems to accomplish the impossible with regularity. The obvious collective issue is Islamic terrorism, Pakistani grooming gangs in the UK, the July 7, 2005 terrorist attack in London that killed 52 people, and the sheer slaughter of British soldier Lee  Rigby in 2013. Throw in characters like Anjem Choudary, and when you add it all up, Charles’ reference to Islam comes across as one more example of British submission. We don’t even have to get into what is happening to Christians in places around the world, like Nigeria, at the hands of Islamist terrorists. Meanwhile, British activist Tommy Robinson is sitting in a British prison because he dares speak out about Islamism, grooming gangs, and the things I mentioned above. (Choudary is also in prison, not for the hateful and outrageous things he has said, but for promoting terrorism.)

Of course, Charles has to worry about the possibility that someone will burn down Buckingham Palace, which is exactly what Choudary and his disciples (no pun intended) infamously chanted (“Burn burn Buckingham”) a few years back. 

Mutual respect and harmony between religions is a good thing, but if King Charles is going to pay tribute to Islam on Easter Sunday, it would be nice to think that the respect was mutual and not a one-way street. Given the reality of the situation today in Britain and the world, Charles’ words come across as submission. I’m sure that is exactly how the Anjem Choudarys of the world are interpreting it.

Better just to say, “Happy Easter”.
