Neglect And Harassment Alleged In Gundlakunta Gurukul School

Gundlakunta – Kadapa: Leaders of Mala Mahanadu (Ramaji Group) lodged a complaint with the Additional Secretary of Ambedkar Gurukul Schools on Thursday, alleging that students at Gundlakunta Gurukul are being subjected to neglect, ill-treatment, and denial of basic facilities due to teachers’ misconduct and officials’ inaction.

• Leaders highlight teachers’ misconduct

According to the leaders, a senior (TGT) Social teacher frequently comes late to school, avoids teaching duties, and does not ensure night study sessions. A (TGT) Telugu teacher allegedly punishes children harshly, sometimes causing physical harm. A (PGT) teacher was accused of compelling students to perform chores such as washing utensils and caring for teachers’ children, while another senior faculty member allegedly makes students massage her feet. Collectively, the complaint states, teachers fail to provide quality education, neglect students’ discipline and learning needs, and subject them to degrading treatment.

• Denial of proper education and facilities

Mala Mahanadu leaders alleged that students are being deprived of proper education, sufficient food, and even the basic amenities guaranteed by the government in Gurukul schools. They emphasized that Dalit students in particular are suffering the most due to such practices. They appealed to the authorities for urgent intervention to protect students’ rights and uphold the purpose of Ambedkar Gurukuls.

• Allegations against officials

The complaint specifically targets a senior Social teacher whose presence, leaders say, has created numerous problems for students and their parents. They alleged that despite grievance letters, the DCO shielded this teacher by accepting bribes and obtaining coerced signatures from students and staff to show support for her continuation.

• Demand for action

The leaders demanded the immediate transfer of the said teacher and strict action against the DCO and other staff responsible. They also alleged that whenever inquiries are scheduled, school authorities intimidate students into silence, preventing them from revealing the truth.

• Leaders behind the complaint

The complaint was formally submitted by National President Ramaji Emmanuel, State President Tallapaka Vinod Kumar, State Social Media President Aakumalla Pranay Kumar, and Kadapa District Youth General Secretary Merindra.
