A Disciple’s Journey Is Adventurous: Dr L K Mrityunjaya

Peter, as a disciple, abandoned everything for the Lord’s call, becoming the first apostle and inspiring others until his martyrdom. His example serves as a timeless example for present-day believers and disciples.

Hyderabad (BIN – IC): In a recent virtual class, Dr. L K Mrityunjaya emphasized that the path of a disciple, particularly for Christians, is fraught with adventure in today’s era, where pepper burns and butter accuses.

There’s a distinction between believing in the Lord and following Him. Believers in the Lord are like newborn babies in Him, while His followers are growing disciples.

Disciples progress through growth, learning, and aspiring to live like their Teacher. However, the majority of today’s Christian community consists of spiritual infants. Only a minority truly embraces discipleship, striving to live in the likeness of their Teacher.

The ultimate aim of a disciple’s life is to pursue the Lord, while the adventure lies in following His path. Remaining spiritual infants goes against God’s eternal plan. Infancy represents life’s natural inclination, whereas discipleship entails the perpetual struggle of growth. For a disciple, this journey is an adventure that persists until the very end.

As a disciple, Peter abandoned all for the call of the Lord, learning through close following. He emerged as the first apostle, leading and inspiring others until his martyrdom.

The inspiration they provided in the past continues to serve as a timeless example for present-day believers and disciples. If practiced wholeheartedly, today’s Christianity stands to be blessed.

డాక్టర్ ఎల్ కె మృత్యుంజయ ఇటీవల జరిగిన వర్చ్యువల్ తరగతిలో శిష్యుని పయనంపై మాట్లాడుతూ  కారం రాస్తే మంట, వెన్న పూస్తే తంటా అనే ఈ ప్రస్తుత కాలంలో శిష్యునిగా మారిన క్రైస్తవుని పయనం సాహసోపేతమన్నారు.

ప్రభున్ని నమ్మటం వేరు, ఆయనను వెంబడించటం వేరు. ప్రభున్ని నమ్మినవారు, ఆయనలో నూతనంగా  జన్మించిన శిశువులు. ఆయనను వెంబడించేవారు ఎదుగుతున్న శిష్యులు.

శిష్యులు ఎదుగుతారు, నేర్చుకుంటారు, గురువుని లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని ఆయనను పోలి జీవిస్తారు. ఈరోజు క్రైస్తవ సమాజంలో శిశువులే ఎక్కువ. ప్రభున్ని లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని జీవించే శిష్యులు తక్కువ.

ప్రభువే శిష్యుని జీవితలక్ష్యం, ఆయన మార్గంలో పయనించటమే సాహసం. శిశువులుగానే ఉండిపోవటం అనాది దైవ సంకల్పానికి సంపూర్ణ వ్యతిరేకం. జీవించటం శిశువుకు సహజ ఆరాటం. ఎదగటం శిష్యునికి నిత్యపోరాటం. అది మరణానికి చేర్చే సాహసపయనం.

శిష్యునిగా నాడు పేతురు ప్రభువు పిలుపుకు అన్నీ వదిలేశాడు. ఆయన్ను వెంబడిస్తూ నేర్చుకున్నాడు. మొదటి అపోస్తలునిగా ఎదిగాడు. తాను హతసాక్షి అయ్యేవరకు శిష్యులను పురికొల్పాడు. నాటి వారి స్ఫూర్తే నేటి శిశువుకు, శిష్యునికి నిలువెత్తు ఆదర్శం. ఆచరిస్తే నేటి క్రైస్తవ్యానికి మహాభాగ్యం.

శిశువుల మనస్సులను కలుషితం చేసే దుర్బోధలు దాపురించాయి. అజ్ఞాన గుళికలను ఉదారంగా పంచిపెడుతూ సదా క్రైస్తవ సమాజాన్ని ఎదగనీయకుండ కర్కషంగా కబళిస్తున్నాయి. మధుర సూక్తులతో, చురుక్కు మనిపించే హెచ్చరికలతో డాక్టర్ ఎల్ కె మృత్యుంజయ క్రైస్తవ బాధ్యతను గుర్తు చేశారు.
