Judge finds “illegal” votes and orders new sheriff election in Louisiana – Republicans celebrate…

Quite a contrast from Maricopa county, AZ. Judge Peter Thompson, the officiator in Kari Lakes lawsuit couldn’t find an egg in a chicken ranch.

Things certainly got intense in a Louisiana sheriff election, with just one vote separating the two candidates. That razor-thin margin prompted a recount, but oddly enough, it yielded no changes. This prompted Caddo sheriff candidate and former Republican councilman John Nickelson to file a lawsuit for a new runoff – and he emerged victorious. Interestingly, the judge uncovered illegal votes that the initial ‘recount’ had overlooked, underscoring the shortcomings of these so-called recounts.

This is no surprise. Dominion doesn’t waste time on insignificant county elections but this election DOES confirm real election fraud is still occurring.. 

Louisiana uses 10,300 electronic voting machines, formally called direct recording electronic systems or DREs, for early and Election Day voting.  Most of the familiar, boxy touchscreen machines are decades old, bought in 2005. Some have been in use for even longer.
When they break, the state often must scavenge other machines for replacement parts because the
Election machines are no longer manufactured.  Louisiana has been leasing 780 early voting machines from its current contractor, Dominion Voting Systems, because prior machines wore down.

If the voting machine is essentially just a calculator, then outside access is much harder to manage but if the county transmits the votes to a centralized location that is where they can be manipulated.

Caddo Parish Clerk of Court Mike Spence says all the machines were checked to make sure the counter is at zero . Then they’re closed and ready to deliver to the 84 precinct locations across Shreveport and the parish.  Spence says the machines are a key part of what he calls the best election process in the country in Louisiana. “Our machines are like calculators. We just take the brain out of it on election night. Bring it to my office. We load it in. And it counts the votes. No internet access whatsoever for anyone,” Spence says.

Clerks shouldn’t rely on a centralized checking source. Make certain that you counter machine is at zero when you receive it. The most secure election, is of course, paper ballots and hand counted. The county secretaries would then transmit their results to the state with an open spreadsheet (on-line) so that vote tallies can be seen and checked that total votes are not greater than the state’s population.

What is unknown is how the judge determined there were fraudulent votes cast, perhaps from reviewing and counting the paper ballots.versus the tabulation results..
