COUNTDOWN TO CHAOS….or ANALYSIS OF ANTI-CLIMAX?
One of the few remaining things US citizens could agree upon right now – and such cultural elements are more rare than hens’ teeth in 2024 – is that, whatever the result tomorrow, somewhere between thirty-eight and fifty-nine per cent of voters will wake up on Wednesday morning and feel that they’ve been the victims of an agit-prop syndrome called Swindler’s Mist.
They will study laptop screens, read OpEd columns, engage in office badinage, call close friends and family….and then in all probability, observe the ascendancy of a new POTUS sitting in the Oval Office and conclude, “Not My President”.
This is not unique in the history of American politics, but it is going to represent an existential threat to the wellbeing of planetary survival when one considers that the date we’re dealing with here is AD 2024 as opposed to AD 1860.
For in 2024, every screen you watched, site you visited, blood relative you rang and close friend you emailed will have been noted and collected as vital data to be used by those who “look after” us from the dizzy heights of unelected surveillance privilege.
It is said that the profoundly unpleasant 42nd US President William Jefferson Clinton [aka Slick Willy] had as a personal reminder above his desk that asserted ‘It’s the economy, stupid’ while setting out to defeat George H. W. Bush in 1992.
Thus did Clinton choose base materialism as his battleground.
How much better might it have been for the American Republic if Slick Willy had asked – rather than asserted – “Is it the Species, stupid”?
I’m on the record for having written many times, ‘We call our species “Homo sapiens” and it’s a good thing we do, because sure as Hell no other life-form would imagine we think about anything much beyond dick size and celebrity’.
Equally, the word ‘Mankind’ always brings a wry smile to my face when I hear it. The vast majority of our species are not kind in any shape or form. A sizeable minority seem to me to lack any sense of remorse or shame, and as many again simply don’t care about the plight of others. We are far too easily persuaded to go to war; we strike affected poses at the drop of a hat; we have too much faith in the Wisdom of Crowds; we’re too easily persuaded by the tosh of wishful thinking; and perhaps above all, we’re terribly prone to media distraction and far too quick to assume good motives among professionals – from judges and civil servants through to image consultants and online marketing crooks.
It’s the courageous minority who do the good stuff. Under a thousand different regimes on seven continents, the struggle goes on to block the road along which Homo sapiens is stumbling, rebuild a judicial independence that’s crumbling, wake up the sheeple who can’t hear the neocon permawar guns rumbling, repair the journalistic principles that have seen mainstream media circulations tumbling, and force politicians out of the treasonous fumbling to which they have become addicted.
But one election win doth not a better culture make.
Cultures improve slowly over time, and by far the most important people engaged in the process are role models.
Even within that obvious (but often forgotten) factor, there is I think a hierarchy that runs like this:
Parents, Teachers, Doctors, Police and the Judiciary
Sports personalities, media celebrities, journalists and novelists
Politicians, senior business figures, perverted clergy and Defenders of Civil Liberties.
Given the emphasis at this site on DCL organisations, it may seem odd to readers that I put them at the back end of the lowest priority. This is because I don’t see them as role models that need to clean up their act in any way: provided they’re independent of the State and its myriad sins, they hold Power to account and are thus – in my lexicon – beyond reproach. What they need is more donations and cultural support.
Equally – but for antithetical reasons – they are alongside grubby pols, mad clerics and billionaire-moguls because these latter villains can’t help themselves…and indeed, don’t want to: they are never going to voluntarily reform. Much of the time, they are a symptom of cultural sickness – it’s the one thing they share with DCLs.
The hierarchy I posit tries hard to make a distinction between those with the Front Rank opportunity to improve civics, ethics and behaviours in pursuit of a more morally responsible culture – that is to say, to effect a lasting cure – and those who react to symptoms of a disease from the best [DCLs] or worst [Boris Johnson/Joe Biden/Islamism] of motives.
In pole position on the Front Rank are parents. On the left there is Joe Biden – a parent, but unfortunately also a pervert. He showered inappropriately with his daughter and produced a druggy son who profited from death in the Ukraine. He is a ballot-stuffing liar who pretends to be President of the United States. Above all, he is a walking, talking hologrammary example of how a depraved parent can fuck up his kids, and a greedy President can double the National Debt.
Eight days ago here, I was walking on the sea-shore here as two kids passed a soccer ball to each other. The ball had seen better days, and so I remarked upon their need for a new one. The two boys were no more than six years old.
“Buy us a new one,” said the taller of the two. No ‘please’ or much else in the way of social manners.
“I don’t have any money with me,” I replied. This is what the smaller of the two came back with:
“Then go to your apartment and get the money. You have everything, we have nothing.”
Three days ago, walking along the same beach, I was approached by two different kids of – I think – roughly the same age.
“Sponsor me,” said the smaller of the two.
“What is it you want to do that needs sponsorship?” I asked.
“Just sponsor me,” he repeated, “You have money, I don’t”.
Now folks: what kind of parental ethic do you think created these four accusatory beggars? This is my answer:
“It’s OK to be a parasite”
I’ve spent the last three years here in The Gambia. Given my ethnicity is a tiny minority of the whole, it’s hardly surprising that the people I trust are overwhelmingly black. But they are few in number…and the trust comes largely from meeting their parents who quite rightly suggest as follows:
“To charge a white tourist more for a product or service is nothing more or less than despicable racism”
You can pass law after law after law, but human nature’s failings are diluted or exacerbated depending on the values our parents give us.
My Dad used to say, “Genuine morality is doing the right thing when nobody’s looking”.
Teachers are the first social disciplinarians one meets – around the age of three to five years old depending on your nationality – outside the home. Their job is to maximise the life fulfilment potential of every kid who passes through their care. It is to believe in and then inspire a spark of passion in every child, be they Mensa intelligent or meticulous carpenters or simply people you’d want to be served by in a shop.
Most teachers in the First World forgot this fundamental calling half a century ago, when the brainless liberal fascists left their various Teacher Training Colleges and Universities and began to politicise education to the point where – regardless of the specific issue involved – there was always either a right or wrong answer.
And they [of course] were the pharisees who knew there was only one right answer: theirs.
This stopped the progress of open-minded ideas, and more than any other single factor, led to the obscene fantasy of Settled Science.
When in 1974 I married into a medical family, General Practice physicians wanted nothing more than to spend their working lives healing people. My father-in-law was not interested in anything else beyond that passion.
As a Scot, he was rightly proud of the achievements of the UK National Health Service and suspicious of what he called “the Harley Street quacks”. (He was also, by the way, politically a conservative).
Then the corrupted health bureaucrats paid by Big Pharma moved in with thinly disguised bribes and seminars [aka ‘Jollies’] and began to encourage higher levels of increasingly unfettered prescription-bashing.
This swamp is now of similar depth to the contents of Loch Ness. The word is that, if elected, Trump will hand RFK Jr the task of pulling out the plug.
Listen to those panic-sticken Fauci allies already squealing like so many forked Pigs, damning the man who can remove their poisonous noses from the gigantic Trough.
It’s a portent of the hate-filth to come.
I don’t want to labour this too much. I think by now you can see what I’m getting at. For all kinds of reasons, with just 24 hours to go to The Count, I find myself suffused with a sense of anti-climax.
In any empirical sense of the noun-verb “win”, It seems clear that Donald Trump is going to be elected President of the United States for the second time.
The very best consequence of this is that – just maybe – more people might begin to say what they think as opposed to what the ideologues insist they ought to think.
But it won’t end there.
I still expect that chaos will rapidly ensue on a number of levels:
1. Come what may, Trump’s anti-mercantile tariff barriers will be asked to carry one hundred per cent of the blame for the coming global econo-fiscal collapse, even though (a) his policy is a twin of Kamala’s (b) years of incontinent neocon war spending and ridiculously overpriced stock markets ensured the bubble must burst once thinly-disguised QE came home to roost and (c) fantasies of non-fossil energy picking up the economc growth challenge were adopted by the likes of series liars like John Kerry and Al Gore.
2. The DOD edicts were not passed for fun. They will be used to demand a coup d’etat in favour of “saving the US Republic from a Nazi takeover by the insurrectionists of January 6th 2021”.
3. The one overwhelming feature of the rise and rise of Silicon Valley above-the-law giga-wealth has been the psychopathic relish with which Bill Gates and his congregation of fellow perverts have been allowed – nay, encouraged – to not just disguise visual Truth but also deny its existence….a Stalinist designed Ministry of Truth that Google in turn stands justly accused of facilitating in the Dystopian Now.
Patience is a virtue.
I freely admit that impatience as a vice has frequently blighted my life.
So on this the eve of a potential End of a Beginning, for once I preach what I have often failed to practice.
Expect an all-out attack on the victory for empirical anti-ideology that tomorrow will almost certainly bring.
But give the Trump administration time to restore the civil humanities that were taken from us by the Dealey Plaza murderers of November 22nd 1963.
And in the meantime, how about this one from John Day over the weekend:
U.S. Postal Service refusing to disclose who paid for nine trucks that transferred up to 1.5 million counterfeit election ballots in 2020 A federal court is about to force the United States Postal Service (USPS) to fess up about who was behind those infamous nine trucks in Pennsylvania that transferred upwards of 1.5 million counterfeit ballots during the 2020 election, effectively throwing the state for Joe Biden. https://www.naturalnews.com/2024-10-16-usps-trucks-counterfeit-ballots-election-2020-lawsuit.html
Stay tuned…..
