To get an Amazon Prime refund, eligible U.S. customers who signed up between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, will receive an automatic refund by December 25, 2025, with no action needed on their part. These automatic payments are for those enrolled through challenged enrollment flows (like a “Shipping Option Select Page”) and used fewer than three Prime benefits in a 12-month period. Other eligible customers who were unable to cancel their Prime membership or used more than three benefits will receive a notification in 2026 to file a claim and provide further details on how to do so.
For Automatic Refunds
- No Action Needed:You will automatically receive your refund by December 25, 2025.
- Eligibility:You are eligible if you are a U.S.-based Amazon Prime customer and meet one of the following criteria:
- Signed up for Prime during the challenged enrollment flows (e.g., the Universal Prime Decision Page, Prime Video, or Single Page Checkout).
- Unsuccessfully tried to cancel your Prime membership during the same period.
- Used fewer than three Prime benefits (like watching Prime Video or using Prime Shipping) in any 12-month period after enrollment.
For Refunds Requiring a Claim
- Notification to Come:After automatic payments are completed in late 2025, Amazon will send notifications in early 2026 to those who will need to submit a claim.
- How to Submit a Claim:These notifications will include instructions on how to file a claim via email, mail, or a dedicated settlement website.
- Deadline:You will have 180 days from receiving the claim form to submit it.

Important Notes
- This refund applies only to U.S. customers.
- Customers who signed up for Prime through a third party, such as Google Play or another company’s service, will need to manage their membership and cancellations through that third-party provider.
