Tariffs, like a surgeons scalpel, can work as intended IF!,… if,… applied with great skill and supervision, BUT,… if applied in a haphazard or reckless manner will cause more harm then good,… this is simple fact.
At this point, with the exporting of so much of our historical industrial base already completed,…. Tariffs need to be enacted VERY slowly and cautiously so as NOT to exacerbate our already inflationary destruction of purchasing power of our FAKE money system.
In the end,.. TARIFFS INCREASE COST,.. PERIOD!,… however, when you have countries importing goods that have extreme advantages, such as lack of comparable environmental restrictions (costs),… tariffs are really the only way to level the playing field for domestic industry.
