The current ceasefire in Israel is real and is not an inauguration pause. Trump wants it to be a ceasefire, what it turns out to be, we don’t know, but this isn’t a a gimmick by Israel. Israel was compelled to do this against its will.

Also, Netanyahu has no interest to bring the hostages home under these terms because he is under a Judicial attack right now. The Israeli courts are coming after him for breaking the law, for lying to the Israeli people, for misusing classified information to deceive the Israeli public about the hostages.
Every hostage who died in Gaza was killed because Israel wouldn’t allow them to come home. Israel could have taken this deal any time uh but it didn’t. That is not because the Hamas, it’s because of Netanyahu and so if this was a gimmick, then Netanyahu is paying a huge price for this now. He apparently has been given a green light to clean up the West Bank and so some people say he’s trading the ceasefire in Gaza for moving forward in the West Bank.
