Your Money Will Mean NOTHING in the End-Times. So, Then What?

When most people think about the “end times,” their minds go to wars, natural disasters, and the rise of the Antichrist. But one of the clearest prophecies in Scripture is that the end times will also bring global financial control. The Bible warns that a time is coming when no one will be able to “buy or sell, save he that had the mark” (Revelation 13:17, KJV). That means money, property, and all earthly wealth will be subject to a system of control under the Beast.

So, how should a follower of Jesus Christ prepare financially for the days ahead?

Knowing about the coming “Mark of the Beast” is paramount in how we prepare. This required mark will be mandatory at the 3.5-year mark, but what can I do financially so that I do not need to take the mark of the beast? Is there such a plan? If so… What is it?

Since we are not planning on taking the mark, any ties that we have with banks etc regarding our homes are a guaranteed way for the Beast System to take this all away from us. Even if we do not have a mortgage, we still will not be able to pay the power bill, electricity, water, etc, for we will not be allowed to participate in anything financial. No transactions of any kind.

Have you even thought about this? Seriously… The limitations from not taking the mark will literally affect all aspects of our life. We will lose jobs, as well as any financial support from Social Security, Pensions… all of it. We MUST be fully aware that this WILL be the case.

As harsh as this is, I must also say that people who refuse to take the mark will be sought after and killed. (Stay with me…don’t faint yet, God has a plan for you).

Let me finish with the bad stuff first. In your financial planning, just know that when the 7-year peace agreement is signed, you will only have 3.5 years MAX to access any of your finances. Cash will be ruled out, as it will become obsolete. So do not plan on just getting lots of cash out of the bank to prepare for this time. That will not be productive, and it will distract you from developing a successful plan.

Alright, I have painted a very bleak picture, but reality is important for us. Sugar-coating the future doesn’t help any of us in our preparation. I love dealing with FACTS, and not just HOPING certain things will be. And if you’re like most people, you choose not to think about this because there is no obvious plan, right? WRONG!

Being boxed in with these limitations is satan’s strategy to get people to comply by taking the mark. Some people will see this as the only way to move forward, which is another reason that we are hving this conversation right now.

For those cowering, and taking the mark, they will not receive a “norma” loife once again. For taking this has FAR WORSE consequences than not taking it. They will immediately suffer the bowls of wrath that God has planned to pour out onto these people. What are those bowls?

The bowls of wrath (sometimes called vials) are the final series of God’s judgments poured out during the Tribulation, described in Revelation 16 (KJV). They come after the seals and trumpets and represent God’s complete and final wrath on the earth before Christ returns. Briefly:

1. First bowl – Painful sores afflict all who have the mark of the beast.
2. Second bowl – The sea turns to blood, and every living creature in it dies.
3. Third bowl – Rivers and springs become blood.
4. Fourth bowl – The sun scorches people with intense heat.
5. Fifth bowl – Darkness and agony cover the beast’s kingdom.
6. Sixth bowl – The Euphrates River dries up to prepare the way for the kings of the east; demonic spirits gather nations to Armageddon.
7. Seventh bowl – A great earthquake shakes the whole earth, cities collapse, Babylon falls, and huge hailstones fall from heaven.

They represent the full outpouring of God’s judgment against evil, leading directly to the return of Christ.

And remember this. The people that take the mark of the beast will all die in a matter of 3.5 years, and it will be then that the worst consequence will take place for them. They will all be cast into the “Lake of Fire” and will become a slave to satan for all eternity. This is the true consequence of taking the mark of the beast, regardless what the Antichrist will tell you.

As you can see, there are very few options left in leading you and your family out of this impossible obstacle. But isn’t that just the perfect thing to turn things over to God… You know, to have Him overcome the impossible?

So, the plan that I mention has nothing to do with strategically planning a financial course through the end times. It has EVERYTHING to do with having faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.

To begin this plan, realize that you have a direct link to God through Jesus Christ? Yeah…we do. We can communicate with God through prayer. In our prayers we can ask for guidance, peace, comfort, knowledge, as well as receiving an answer to our plea of “WHAT DO I DO NEXT?” This is not a “Default” plan. This is THE PLAN in proceeding through the end times.

Talk to God NOW, and spend time listening to Him answer back. But how will he answer you? We need to be able to recognize the different ways that He speaks back to us NOW, while we are not “Running for our lives.”

Let me share some of the ways that God has “spoken” to me throughout my life. I often find that it is important for me to be in a place that’s quiet and free from distractions. In doing this, it makes His voice easier to hear.

The most common ways that He answers is having an idea pop into your mind that relates to what you have been praying about. Stop giving yourself credit for being so brilliant when this happens =) and recognize it as God speaking back to you through the Holy Ghost. We must discipline ourselves to listen each day, and not just expect to receive answers “on the fly” all of the time.

The second most obvious ways that God answers prayers are through other people. Have you ever felt prompted to do something for someone, not knowing why you would even do such a thing?

I have to share a story that happened to my wife that relates to this.

One day she felt very prompted to go next door to see our neighbor. There was no reason associated with this prompting, just to go over and visit with her. The feeling grew quickly, and intensified. She felt almost shoved from the couch to get up and go next door.

Hearing the doorbell ring, the neighbor was just getting ready to step into the shower, but felt the need to answer the door. As she let my wife in. Seeing her new baby laying in the baby carrier on the couch, my wife asked if she could hold the baby. When she picked the baby up, she noticed that she was blue, and was not breathing.

When the neighbor had left to go to the shower, her 3-year-old had fed the baby a potato chip, which became lodged in the baby’s airway causing her not to be able to breathe. The mom was not aware that this had happened.

After a few smacks on her back and finger sweeps, the potato chip emerged, and the baby started breathing again.

The ironic point of this story was that if my wife would not have been prompted to go next door, and do it right then, the neighbor would have been taking her shower, and the baby might likely would have died due to her inability to breath.

They both realized that God was involved with this experience. He had prompted my wife to answer a mother’s prayer of “keeping her family safe that day.”

So please be aware on both sides of this. If God prompts you, you must act. Additionally, you can look for others that come into your life as being sent from God to answer your prayers. Listen to what they are offering. If you are in need of help, don’t let pride get into the way, and say that everything’s fine. Let that person help, for they might very well have the answer that you are looking for.

Let’s keep moving on with our plan.

Expect a miracle. If you and I are backed into a corner without a realistic way out, ask God for a miracle. You know the stories of God parting the Red Sea. Jonah escaping the belly of a whale. Daniel being unharmed in the lion’s den. You even know that when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were place into a burning furnace, they suffered no burns.

These are examples of God’s miracles that He has already performed. They are proof that He can perform unbelievable feats in protecting those He loves…you and me. To me, this is also an invitation that we should call on God for the very same thing…Divine protection.

Is your plan starting to take shape?

Let me share two more important events to add to your plan for the end times.

The first one is the Rapture: God will lift up His people, removing them from His wrath that He will be pouring out upon the earth. He plans on doing this at the 3.5-year mark.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The rapture is indeed a miracle, and makes perfect sense coming from a God who loves His followers, and has a desire to protect them.

Can it get any better than this? To just be removed from any and all danger, taken to a place that we have been longing for quite some time…”HOME”. Be mindful of this, and express your gratitude to God for such a blessing.

The second event is one that is not discussed much, but it also is something that we need to be aware of.

Remember, the Jewish people are God’s chosen people. (This is a story for another day). But only believers of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will be taken in the rapture. They do not know Christ as the Messiah, and many will not know Jesus as the Son of God until the Two Prophets come down to the earth and teach them that Jesus Christ is actually the Messiah. During this teaching, they will have missed the Rapture. Not qualified to be taken up because of their misunderstanding of Jesus Christ. So how does God intend to rescue them or keep them safe?

He has already told them what to do. Let’s take a look:

At the 3.5-year mark into the 7-year tribulation period, the Antichrist will enter the new temple that the Jews have constructed in Israel, and will proclaim who he really is…Satan. This is known as the abomination of desolation. When this happens, the Jewish people have been instructed to flee into the mountains, as written here.

Matthew 24:15–16 (KJV)

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”

Mark 13:14 (KJV)

“But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:”

Luke 21:20–21 (KJV)

“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.”

God has provided a “Rescue Plan” for them as well. If they follow the directions which He has told them, I am certain that God will keep these people safe until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, for they have fled to the mountain as instructed.

I have listed only certain key points for you to consider in your End-Times Plan. You must also know that God might have a plan specifically for you and your family. Listen for those promptings. And, when you are in danger, seek Him out in prayer. Have faith that He will answer you, and then do what He has told you to do.

I’d like to finish with something that I hold so spiritual, it is hard for me to write about it in a way which a person can truly understand…But, I’ll give it a try.

I have had an impression quite often over the past two years of study. The phrase that frequents my mind is this:

Jesus Died for you; would you give your life for Him?

In the unlikely event where we might be caught and told that we must deny our belief in Jesus Christ or be killed, I must share with you something that I again hold sacred. Teachings from the Holy Ghost.

I have been so highly impressed with the thought of if this were to happen to me, I KNOW that God would be with me 100% at that moment. He will give me the courage to face the consequence of death, and He will also override all of my emotions of fear. And it will be only a matter of minutes, and then I will be in a place so glorious that I can’t even imagine. “HEAVEN.” I will be surrounded by friends and family who have gone before me. I will be in the arms of my son who has passed away. And, I will have a chance to be embraced by my Savior whom I have come to know so deeply.

Death seemed to lose its preconceived meaning of something to regret. Death while defending my Savior would be such a holy honor, knowing that He would be with me the entire time. Fear would be replaced with excitement in knowing that I am only minutes away from seeing my son. It would not be something that I would fear, given everything associated with advancing into the next chapter of existence. I have redefined DEATH in the context of giving my life for the Savior… GLORIOUS!

I share this with you to see things through a perspective of not fearing the most frightening thing that could happen in the end times. As we consider death, while yoked up to the Savior, it is entirely a different experience that what you would originally think it would be like. This being the case for me, there is NOTHING that I fear as I proceed through the end-times.

So, back to our finances…It really is irrelevant, isn’t it? Quite frankly, there is noting that we can do to financially prepare for what is about to come. Money is tied to this world, and we are all about to leave it all behind.

What can you do with your assets? Help those in need right now. Spend some fun time with your family, or go purchase those new boots that were always too expensive. Let our focus be entirely upon preparing our end times plan spiritually, which is truly what indeed needs our attention right now. We are only concerned with building the “Treasures” in heaven.

There is Peace in Christ! This is where we will find our comfort in the end-times.
