Rapture NOT HAPPENING Sept 22-23, 2025 - Mid-Tribulation the Most Biblically Accurate Timing (KJV)

For generations, Christians have debated the timing of the rapture—whether believers will be taken before, during, or after the seven-year tribulation described in the Bible. While many have been taught a pre-tribulation rapture, a careful look at Scripture in the King James Version (KJV) points strongly to a mid-tribulation rapture as the most biblically consistent view.

1. Jesus’ Own Words (Matthew 24:29–31)

Jesus said:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven… And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man… And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect…” (Matthew 24:29–31, KJV)

Here, the gathering of the elect happens after a time of tribulation, not before it begins. Jesus places the rapture event after key end-time judgments have already started.

2. The “Last Trump” (1 Corinthians 15:52 / Revelation 11:15)

Paul tells us:

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52, KJV)

Revelation identifies this “last trumpet” as the 7th trumpet:

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord…” (Revelation 11:15, KJV)

The seventh trumpet occurs in the middle of the seven-year tribulation, marking the start of God’s final judgments and Christ’s reign. This timing perfectly aligns with Paul’s description of the rapture.

3. Protection Before God’s Wrath

Revelation shows believers enduring persecution (Revelation 13:7), yet God seals and protects His servants (Revelation 7:3). This indicates Christians will live through much of the tribulation but will be rescued before the outpouring of God’s final wrath (the bowl judgments in Revelation 16).

4. Biblical Patterns of Deliverance

Throughout Scripture, God often allows His people to face trials before delivering them:

  • Noah witnessed corruption and judgment warnings before entering the ark.
  • Lot experienced Sodom’s rising wickedness before being rescued.
  • Israel lived through many of Egypt’s plagues before the final deliverance.

Likewise, believers will endure part of the tribulation but will be taken before God’s ultimate wrath, mirroring a mid-tribulation rescue.

While popular teachings promote a pre-tribulation rapture, the King James Bible reveals a mid-tribulation timing:

  • Jesus gathers the elect after tribulation events begin.
  • The rapture occurs at the last trumpet (midpoint of tribulation).
  • God protects His people through trials but removes them before final wrath.

The mid-tribulation rapture aligns with the plain reading of Scripture, offering believers hope and a call to remain faithful as we await the sound of the final trumpet.

For some, this news is unsettling…They are ready for the rapture to happen right soon, as they are anxious to begin their new “life” returning home to live with God. When someone has long expected the rapture at any moment and then comes to understand from Scripture that it may not occur until the mid-tribulation, it can stir up confusion, fear, and even discouragement. Here’s biblical encouragement for those in that place:

1. God’s Timing is Perfect

Even if the rapture is not as soon as we expected, it is not delayed in God’s plan. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering to us-ward” (2 Peter 3:9). God is giving more people time to repent and believe before the wrath is poured out.

2. Jesus Promised to Keep His People

Though believers may witness the early part of the tribulation, they are not appointed to God’s wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). God protected Israel in Egypt during the plagues, and He promises to preserve His faithful through trials until the appointed time of deliverance (Revelation 7:3).

3. We Are Called to Watch and Be Ready

Jesus said: “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things…” (Luke 21:36). Watching doesn’t mean worrying about when—it means living faithfully, ready for His call at any moment.

4. Tribulation Produces Stronger Faith

Enduring hardship for Christ strengthens our faith and brings reward. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life…” (James 1:12). God is preparing a purified, courageous bride for Jesus’ return.

5. Our Hope is Christ Himself, Not the Timing

True hope is not in escaping difficulty but in being with Jesus forever. “And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:17–18).

Encouraging Words to Hold On To:

  • You have not been abandoned. God knows the exact moment of your rescue.
  • You are sealed. No deception or power of darkness can take away your salvation (Ephesians 1:13).
  • You have purpose now. The extra time is an opportunity to warn others, strengthen believers, and shine light in darkness (Matthew 5:14).
  • Your endurance will be rewarded. “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).

So, what are your plans? Since we still have a few years until the rapture happens, rather than just simply waiting, what do you feel that you can do during this time? What would God like for you to do? Since God is giving time for more people to accept His Son, perhaps you could be helpful in assisting Him with this process…Bringing people to Christ!

More people are starting to realize that we are living in the end-times. This is to our advantage: Fear or uncertainty can create a desire to learn. Start with a simple question such as, “So, are you worried what will happen to you in the end times? Then its time to teach the most important concept of His Gospel.

Salvation: Grace vs. Works

The Bible teaches that salvation is by grace through faith, not through works or church membership:

1. Recognize you are a sinner

  • Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Everyone has broken God’s law and stands in need of forgiveness.

2. Understand the penalty for sin

  • Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Sin separates us from God and leads to spiritual death, but eternal life is a gift through Jesus.

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 – “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
Jesus’ death and resurrection paid the full penalty for sin.

4. Call upon Jesus Christ for salvation

  • Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
  • Romans 10:13 – “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

This is a personal decision to trust in Jesus alone for salvation—not relying on good deeds, baptism, or church attendance.

5. Salvation is by grace through faith, not works

  • Ephesians 2:8–9 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Simple Prayer of Faith (example)

Praying these words doesn’t save you—the faith in your heart does—but many express it like this:

“ Jesus, I know I am a sinner and deserve judgment. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I now trust in You alone to save me and give me eternal life. I dedicate my life to You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

Promise of Assurance:

  • John 5:24 – “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Once you truly believe and call on Him, you are saved immediately and forever, sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). When people accept Christ’s atoning sacrifice through faith, they become a member of His “Church” here on earth, and will be included in the “Rapture of His Church”.

It is important to remember…Jesus atoned for our sins, but His atonement is not forced on any person. They must freely accept it in order that it might become effective in their lives. Yes, it is simple, but it’s the most important thing that a person can do while living on this earth. Be a part of teaching someone about this precious gift. =)
