​​​​​​​The Mahdi, President Trump, Middle East Leaders, and Abraham Accord are On a Collision Course. Will this Start the 7-Year Tribulation Period?

Many people are certainly aware of Abdullah Hashem, a man who identifies himself as the Mahdi—a messianic figure in Islamic eschatology. But for some reason, it’s difficult to take this guy seriously. He doesn’t seem to have the “Characteristics” of someone that you would expect to fulfill a figure such as the antichrist. However, he has just made some incredibly bold statements that we need to consider when putting these end-times pieces together.

Abdullah Hashem has openly stated that the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque hold no sacred significance in true Islam. Instead, he claims that the Quran’s reference to “Al-Aqsa” pertains to a location near Mecca, not Jerusalem. Based on this bold assertion, he’s urging Muslims to support the construction of the Third Temple on what Jews and Christians believe to be the biblical Temple Mount. Yes…you have read that right. He is telling Muslims to rally together to build the prophesied 3^rd temple upon the temple mount in Israel.

This Is So Unprecedented

In Islamic tradition, the Mahdi is expected to appear before the Day of Judgment to establish justice and truth. But never before has someone claiming this title stood in favor of restoring Jewish worship on the Temple Mount.

For centuries, Islamic authorities have strictly opposed any Jewish presence or religious expression on that sacred plateau. The call to rebuild the Temple has often been met with fierce resistance. But now, someone claiming prophetic authority in Islam is saying the opposite.

This is not just a religious statement—it’s a political and prophetic earthquake.

Prophetic Significance: Does This Align with Scripture?

According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (KJV), before the Day of Christ, the “man of sin” will sit “in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” The Third Temple plays a central role in end-times prophecy. Its rebuilding is one of the most significant unfulfilled signs of the tribulation era.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed…”
– 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Many Bible-believing Christians have long speculated: What will it take for the Temple to be rebuilt in such a politically charged environment? Could it be a false peace brokered by an unexpected figure? Could this Mahdi be paving the way?

Even more intriguing is that the Mahdi is also calling for the exodus of Palestinians from Gaza and pushing for a new kind of peace in the region—an offer that seems tailor-made for a false messiah or antichrist figure.

President Trump Entering the Mix

President Donald Trump is scheduled to embark on a significant Middle East tour from May 13 to May 16, 2025, marking his first major foreign trip of his second term. The itinerary includes visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on economic partnerships, regional diplomacy, and energy cooperation.

Planned Itinerary

• May 13–14: Trump will attend the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, engaging in bilateral meetings with regional leaders.
• May 15: He is set to meet with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, Qatar.
• May 16: The trip concludes with a meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi.

I have a sneaky suspicion that President Trump might be involved in promoting the Abraham Accord while on his visit to the Middle East. Will the Mahdi be part of this plan? Will president Trump interact with the Mahdi? This all has the potential to come together as the perfect storm in starting the 7-year Tribulation period. Again, we are watching for that peace agreement to be signed with Israel, as that starts the 7 year countdown to the return of Jesus Christ.

What Should Believers Do?

As watchmen on the wall, we must stay spiritually alert. The words of Jesus in Matthew 24 warn us not to be deceived and to be ready at all times. There are several end times events happening right now. They are currently in the category of speculation, as we wait to see how they will unfold. The Mahdi speaking this type of script is one thing, but seeing it play out as he is demanding is another. Keeping an eye on how this plays out is crucial.

This strange alliance—a Muslim figure advocating for Jewish temple worship—should cause any Bible student to perk up and pay attention. While we don’t yet know how this will unfold, we do know the stage is being set, piece by piece, for the final act.

Stay Awake. Stay in the Word. Stay Ready.

Let this serve as a reminder that the prophetic clock is ticking. The convergence of biblical prophecy, geopolitical chaos, and spiritual deception is accelerating. If ever there was a time to be grounded in the truth of God’s Word, it is now.
