ServiceNow predicts more than 1.03 million jobs will be created in the UAE by 2030

AI has often been discussed in extremes. Either it will replace entire workforces, or it will magically solve productivity challenges overnight. In the inbetween of those extreme perspectives is the key of the effect of AI in the job market. As AI is being adopted by professionals, there’s not going to be an elimination of positions, only a shift on how work is done, turning roles as we know them now into AI-driven roles.

When that change in roles becomes more visible, ServiceNow predicts that more than 1.03 million AI-driven jobs will be created in the United Arab Emirates by 2030.

The next wave of job creation won’t be confined to just data scientists or AI engineers, but will emerge across the core of the enterprise. Roles will rapidly expand in IT service management, cyber security, workflow automation, and digital operations, as organizations embed AI into how work actually gets done,” Frank Palermo, COO of NewRocket explains.

AI Adoption Is Beyond Experimentation

Across global markets, enterprises are integrating automation, genAI, and intelligent workflows into their core systems. AI is not only being used as an experiment by IT teams. Rather, it is absorbing repetitive, high-volume tasks and enabling people to focus on decision-making, oversight, creativity and judgement. 

Palermo emphasizes this by adding that, “enterprises will be redefined by hybrid roles—where humans combine domain expertise, judgment, and creativity with AI-powered workflows to operate faster and smarter. This moment fundamentally reshapes the labor market, prioritizing adaptability, digital fluency, and continuous learning over static job definitions.”

These hybrid roles are going to be incorporated through the different areas that organizations might have, instead of being narrowed functions inside of the IT team.

For businesses, this projection signals urgency. Companies that invest early in intelligent workflows and employee upskilling are better positioned to capture productivity gains while preparing their workforce for hybrid roles.
