Lately, I haven’t been painting or posting much because I have been helping my partner run his company. I have had to put painting aside for awhile and even though I do miss it and think about it most of the time, I’m ok with it for now.
Recently, we had hurricane Florence directly hit Wilmington and caused mass devastation. We were without power for about 10 days and although we only had some flooding and lots of limbs down, we really came through unscathed unlike a lot of people even nearby our home – It’s been very sad.
Because of all the quiet time, I’ve been slowly migrating back to the painting mindset and I painted this little sketch of Frida during the storm.
It felt good to sit and move
some paint around.
