The story surrounded public statements made by Manuel Chavez III (aka Defango), Nevada, regarding a break-in that occurred at the residence of high-profile attorney Steven Scott Biss, Virgina. On November 20, 2023, Chavez made statements about a file heist from the attorney who represents clients from the Intelligence Community. Chavez said he transferred Biss’ law office and clients’ files to a USB drive over the internet using Team Viewer, on the same day Biss’ laptop vanished.

Chavez said Binnall Law Group, an attorney firm that represents President Donald Trump, retired General Michael Flynn, and others, lied to the U.S. Court in New York when they advised the court via a Motion that Biss’ files and laptop are missing – having been taken by an “unknown person”.

Chavez says he (Manuel Chavez III) is employed by the U.S. State Department in Nevada.

“The idea that files disappeared or are inaccessible is one hundred percent a fallacy. Because I verified that myself. And if something happened in between that verification a month ago – to wherever they were driving – that shit aint my fault. And I am in no way liable for any of the stupidity of the Virginia State BAR or the U.S. State Department. As I have said before I will say it again – if the Virginia State BAR would like to lose millions of dollars getting nowhere with me, well guess what, we can do it. And now I will go as far as to saying if the State Department wants to have anything to do with me they can contact my boss over at the fucking State Department here for Nevada and they’re definitely going to find out that there not riding – there not going to want to play around with this,” Chavez said.

“I don’t have any copies of those files and even if I did that’s my business.” Chavez said.
