Colonel Douglas Macgregor: Iran Exposes Critical Weakness in U.S. Defenses (Video)

In Macgregor’s view, Iran’s strategic goal is a Middle East entirely devoid of U.S. forces. He notes that Iran is successfully leveraging its position to convince Gulf States that throwing out the Americans is their only viable path to survival. Rumors have emerged that Gulf nations are exploring shutting down American bases as they become liabilities. If the conflict continues on its current trajectory, Macgregor predicts the final collapse of Western financial and military credibility in the region. This shift will leave Turkey and Iran as the preeminent regional superpowers, while pushing non-aligned states closer to the BRICS alliance. He emphasizes that the “true clock” is economic, pointing out that prolonged regional instability risks global fertilizer, metal, and helium shortages. He notes that if the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield crosses the 5 percent threshold, America’s debt service model will break.
