OK, a bizarre looking storm is covering about half the US right now. This thing looks ominous.
To make it even more creepy, the US.gov weather satellite website is not working.

A prolonged severe weather and flooding event is unfolding across the central United States with rain and thunderstorms stretching from Oklahoma to Ohio.
The severity of the thunderstorms in terms of damaging winds has briefly waned, but torrential rain continues to trigger flooding from Oklahoma City to St. Louis and Cincinnati.
Rainfall has already topped 6 inches in some communities, flooding homes and prompting road closures and evacuations.
The flooding will give way to a new round of severe weather later on Saturday into Sunday. More lives and property will be at risk as the violent thunderstorms threaten to cause damage and more flooding.
Keep your heads on a swivel, these are interesting times indeed.
