DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. June 8, 2017, 7:18 PM (IDT)

James Comey, ex-director of the FBI, said during his testimony on Thursday that he made memos of his conversations with US President Donald Trump because he had a feeling that he would need them to defend himself and the bureau at a later date. He said Trump was not under FBI investigation while he was the bureau’s director.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
