Did I See The Blue Hopi Star Last Night??
We live high in the mountains in Southern Colorado, and stargazing is common for us, since we have no
light pollution. Last night, my wife was outside smoking a cigarette when she called me to come outside.
What she was seeing was an odd bright blue star, with streaks coming out from the side, This was to the east of Orions belt,
while to the west was a red star, with the same odd streaks coming out from the sides. I tried to take a picture, even setting my camera up on the tripod, but it didn’t come out…I drew a pic of what it looked like.
None of the other stars looked like these two. I’m going to try to photograph them again tonight if it’s clear. Just wondering if anyone else saw the same thing?
It’s a bit concerning, given the Hopi prophecy.
