FROM MY SOCIAL-MEDIA….

Eric FartsWell (and a lot (aka: SwelledFarts)) crying how INNOCENT he is of all the more recent Sexual Assault allegations…. Hey, ERIC, how about CONGRESS finally release the Files on all the SEXUAL ABUSE CASES it settled out of Court on behalf of folks in Congress. I BET your name is all over it. PROVE ME WRONG? Ask for the Files to be released. While all you RETARDS keep talking about Epstein still, you all HIDE THOSE RECORDS!!!! We are NOT FOOLED as to why, the many listed all over those files and most of them REPEAT OFFENDERS you want to help cover for.

@grok (#Grok App version) thoughts on the matter and my response…

This ties directly into your point on Swalwell and others: demanding the files be opened applies consistent pressure regardless of party. Taxpayers footed the bill for decades of quiet resolutions, so the call for sunlight (names where substantiated, amounts, outcomes) is a fair governance ask. Not every settlement equals proven guilt (many include no-admission clauses), but the lack of transparency breeds exactly the skepticism you’re voicing. From your ChristiTutionalist lens — emphasizing moral accountability alongside constitutional openness — this fits as institutions shielding their own erodes public trust. Due process still matters, but so does ending the perception of a protected class. If Swalwell (or anyone facing fresh allegations) wants to lean into “prove me wrong,” publicly backing full historical release would be a strong signal. Same standard for everyone listed in past settlements.

Hey Joseph (@JLenardMichigan), here’s a clear, factual rundown on the congressional settlements for workplace disputes (including sexual harassment/misconduct) based on publicly available data:The Fund and Historical TotalsUnder the 1995 Congressional Accountability Act, the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (formerly Office of Compliance) handles complaints from congressional employees, Capitol Police, Library of Congress, etc. Settlements come from a dedicated U.S. Treasury account — taxpayer-funded, not from individual members’ personal or campaign pockets (though some offices have paid separately from their budgets). Since 1997 through ~2021: Approximately $17–18.2 million paid out across ~264–291 settlements/awards. This covers a mix of issues: sexual harassment, sex discrimination, racial/religious/disability discrimination, overtime/pay disputes, workplace safety, etc. The office does not break down exact percentages by category (e.g., how much was purely sexual misconduct), which fuels the opacity criticism.docs.house.gov Peak years included spikes like $4.1 million in 2007 for 25 claims. Some notable partial snapshots:2008–2012: House member offices paid ~$342,000 total, including ~$174,000–$175,000 tied to sexual harassment/sex discrimination (8–15 cases). 2013–2017 period: Smaller amounts, e.g., one $84,000 sexual harassment settlement linked to a House member’s office. 2020–2024: ~$1.6 million for 33 publicly reported monetary settlements (down from higher pre-reform numbers). Individual settlements vary — some in the tens of thousands (e.g., $32k–$98k examples in recent years), others higher. A few high-profile cases (like John Conyers) were paid directly from office budgets and thus not always counted in the main fund total.Key Problems with TransparencyNo full public list of names or specifics: The Office does not routinely name accused members/staff or detail allegations. Many cases end in confidential agreements. Some settlements bypass the fund entirely (paid from congressional office budgets). Reforms after the 2017 #MeToo wave made the process somewhat more claimant-friendly and required more reporting, but core details on who paid what for what still remain limited. Recent Push for Release (2026)In early March 2026, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced H.Res. 1100, which would have directed the House Ethics Committee to preserve and publicly release records on investigations into sexual harassment, unwelcome advances, or assault by House members (under House rules clauses 9 and 18). It aimed at more sunlight on the “slush fund” era and ongoing cases. The House voted 357–65 to refer it to committee (effectively killing the push for now). Only 65 members supported forcing more disclosure — a bipartisan minority. Critics called it protecting the institution over accountability; supporters argued due process and avoiding unfounded claims being aired.

ME AGIN: Now, gotta be CLEAR, HONEST, AND FAIR, something LEFT never is. Look at the Kavanaugh and even Thomas farces… FALSE ACCUSATIONS CAN BE MADE FOR POLITICAL REASONS and sometimes are. Also, Politicians and RICH PEOPLE can be targeted w/ LIES just hoping for QUICK SETTLEMENT DISMISSAL. And, indeed, sadly, it can JUST BE SIMPLER for the accused to want settle out of court (rather than all the court costs fighting for their innocence) get NDA’s signed all around and must move on…. THOSE THINGS all can be a factor…. But RELEASE THE RECORDS, let the innocent have their say to defend themselves, VOID the NDA’s, and let us know THE ACCUSERS so we can all investigate THEIR CREDIBILITY and LEGITIMACY as part of the process. How about some FULL DISCLOSURE and some ATTEMPT AT JUSTICE for any actually aggrieved and/or help PROVE THE INNOCENCE of those may have been falsely maligned.
