If you are planning a road trip this summer, there are several apps we recommend to cut down your stress levels.

  • Roadtrippers is a good all-around road trip app, assisting to create your route, planning activities and finding lodging. You can book accommodations and its completely free to users. To plan a trip enter your final destination and the app will allow you to choose from several routes and activity options. Once the route is selected, you can search for accommodations, including hotels, campsites, vacation rentals, RV spots and other choices. You can scroll for activities including attractions and points of interest, entertainment and nightlife, scenic drives and other categories. When on the road, you can search for gas stations, food, rest areas, etc.
  • GasBuddy is the most straightforward gas-finding app. Enter your location and the app shows up to date gas prices within a pre-set radius. You can sort results by price, distance or price and distance together. There’s also an option to see if the gas stations offer certain amenities such as car washes, air pumps, propane fills, restrooms, and 24/7 service. GasBuddy will tell you what grade of fuel is offered at what price. Serious savers an join GasBuddy as a member by linking their checking account. The company sends a card by mail to receive 10 cents off per gallon for the first fill and five cents off per gallon thereafter.
  • Google Trips is a general vacation planner app that has useful features if you are going from one town to the next.
