Perhaps it will work out. Early reactions have been mixed. Most seem to want the momentum to continue so they’re focusing on who will replace him in the Senate. His seat will be filled by whoever Governor Ron DeSantis appoints.
At least it’s not Rex Tillerson.

I first met @marcorubio in 2004, before he became Speaker of the FL State House.
In 2010, I supported his Senate run against Charlie Crist when many deemed it challenging to beat the then-Governor.
Today I couldn’t be prouder for Rubio to become our next Secretary of State.

One thing I’ll say about Rubio: He’s been pretty loyal to Trump since the “Little Marco” saga. I don’t love him and the establishment certainly knows how to put on an act, but…
