JD Vance Victim Blames: It Was A “Tragedy of Her Own Making”

JD Vance takes to victim blaming, saying that the murder of a mother of three by an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officer was a “tragedy of her own making.” The 37-year-old mother of three was in her car and was shot point-blank by an ICE agent. She died instantly.

Graphic footage shows multiple Immigration and ICE agents swarming the victim’s SUV. One of the agents attempts to forcibly open the vehicle’s door, while another agent, who tried to block the car from the front, fires several shots at the driver at point-blank range as she attempts to flee the masked gunmen.

The victim was a 37-year-old mother of three, Renee Nicole Good.

Vance doubled down on the violence committed on behalf of the state, backing a murderer. It isn’t that big of a surprise, considering he also backed war crimes after this administration started bombing civilian boats without evidence and killing those on board on the spot.

“I want every ICE officer to know that their president, vice president, and the entire administration stands behind them,” the VP wrote on X. Unfortunately, ICE has lost the respect of the American public.

Vance made it worse by claiming this woman was “illegally” interfering with ICE’s violent operations. His assessment of the shooting emphatically implied that the victim was to blame. “You can accept that this woman’s death is a tragedy while acknowledging it’s a tragedy of her own making. Don’t illegally interfere in federal law enforcement operations and try to run over our officers with your car,” Vance wrote in a separate post.

According to a report by RT, the remarks echoed the stance taken by US President Donald Trump, who accused the deceased woman of trying to “viciously run over” the ICE agents. Trump also claimed the ICE agent acted in “self-defense.”

Critics of this situation have pointed out that law enforcement officers are instructed not to stand in front of vehicles in such situations, and claim that ICE has no place on the streets of American cities in the first place.

No context makes this shooting justified, not even a badge and uniform. This was state-sponsored cold-blooded murder, and it’s past time to stand together and call a spade a spade.
