The turnaround the Chicago Bears have had under first year head coach Ben Johnson has been truly remarkable. The effect Johnson has had on this team has been a true game changer.

For the first time since 1977, the Bears have had a top five ranked offense. The Bears also have the second best rushing game in the NFL as well.

Fox Sports’ Collin Cowherd has flipped his opinion on the Bears multiple times this season. And after years of critiquing the Bears heavily, he has given the Bears some major praise, especially for their first-year head coach.

On a recent episode of the Herd, Cowherd stated that he believes that Ben Johnson is the best NFL coaching hire since the Rams hired Sean McVay in 2017.

Cowherd stated that he believes the Bears “checks too many boxes not to be a team that couldn’t possibly make the NFC championship.”

The examples Cowherd gave for the Bears’ success included the teams ability to win in cold weather, the defense winning in the turnover battle, the dynamic improvement of quarterback Caleb Williams, and having a great coach in Ben Johnson.

The team will look to get revenge against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. A win on Saturday will give the Bears a significant chance of not only a playoff berth, but a potential NFC north title as well.
