The 2025 NFC North champions Chicago Bears will be playing for a shot at the 1 seed in the NFC in Sunday night’s showdown against the playoff bound San Francisco 49ers.

Unfortunately for Ben Johnson and his team, Chicago has been dealing with a bad flu bug the last few weeks. Tyson Bagent was out with an illness, then multiple other players have gotten sick.
The Bears have now an emergency situation with right tackle Darnell Wright. The star offensive linemen did not travel with the team to Santa Clara due to his illness and was listed as questionable.
However, the team just got a major positive update on Wright’s condition.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears’ star tackle is en route to Sunday’s game and has a good chance of playing against the 49ers.
Wright is considered to be a game time decision. After being snubbed from the Pro Bowl, Wright being available to play would be a major plus to the Bears’ offense.
Wright has had a breakout season and has been one of the best tackles in the NFL.
Even though the Bears have already clinched the NFC north, Sunday’s game is a must win if the Bears want to enter the playoffs with a first round bye.
