Bears could be perfect trade destination for potentially available superstar
The Chicago Bears put together an aggressive offseason last year, which has led to an incredible run throughout the 2025 NFL season.
Entering Week 17 action, the Bears are close to clinching the NFC North division title. They have already clinched a playoff berth. It has been a long time since the team looked the part of a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but that is where they stand now.
Ryan Poles has done an excellent job of building a contending roster. However, there are still areas that could be improved.
Chicago will likely enter the upcoming NFL offseason with the same aggressive mindset that it has had over the last couple of years. Assuming that is the case, there is a superstar trade option that might become available this offseason for the Bears to pursue.
Maxx Crosby has been rumored to be a potential trade candidate for a couple of years now. While the Las Vegas Raiders have refused to deal him to this point, that could change during the upcoming offseason. If he is made available, Chicago should be prepared to pounce.
Ahead of this week’s game against the New York Giants, the Raiders decided to shut Crosby down due to a knee injury. He was very unhappy with that decision and ended up leaving the team facility. Could that unrest lead to a potential offseason trade?
Throughout his career, Crosby has been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. This season in 15 games, the 28-year-old superstar has racked up 73 total tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, and six defended passes. Adding that kind of defensive production would make the Bears an even more serious contender.
It would not be cheap to acquire a talent like Crosby. However, Chicago should not be scared off at this stage by a high asking price.
At this point in time, the Bears appear to be poised to contend for a Super Bowl. Adding Crosby would help them towards that goal. It’s an option that should be considered and potentially pursued.
Expect to hear a lot of rumors surrounding Crosby entering the offseason. Keep an eye on Chicago as a possible destination if Las Vegas decides to gauge trade interest.
