Per Taylor McGregor with MLB. Network, the Cubs traded with the San Diego Padres for left-handed pitcher Tom Cosgrove. Chicago DFA’d right-handed pitcher Caleb Kilian.

“Cubs today acquired LHP Tom Cosgrove from the San Diego Padres for cash considerations and optioned him to Triple-A Iowa,” McGregor posted on X. “In a corresponding move, RHP Caleb Kilian has been designated for assignment.”
