" I came not to call the righteous, but -- “sinners” -- to repentance."

 

In Luke 5: 29- 32 Jesus Christ clearly stated He came to earth to CALL –  “SINNERS” — to repentance.

 

 

 

 

 

Luke 5

29  And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

30  But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

31  And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

 

32  I came not to call the righteous, but  “sinners”  to repentance.

 

I eagerly await a response to the following questions and statements by  “all”  that accept the false doctrine “Christ nailed the LAW to His stake”.

 

If  “sin”  is the transgression of the Law as John clearly taught in 1 John 3: 4 then how can Christ call –Sinners – to repentance as there would then be no LAW to repent of transgressing – if – the LAW were to be nail to the stake and abolished??

4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:             for “sin”  is the transgression of the law.

If there were NO LAW  then it logically must follow — it is not possible for there to be SIN.  1 John 3: 4. 

Do you not understand this  IS  a sound logical statement?
 

Do you not comprehend the fact if there were no LAW there would be nothing to repent OF ??

If there were no Law stating murder is a sin – then it can not be sin to murder.  If there were no law against running a red light it must follow there can be no penalty for doing so.

Was Christ “only” calling sinners to repentance during His  3 ½ years ministry  and once He was slain – that all changed ?

Long after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ Paul kept the “LAW”:

          Acts 21

24  Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave [their] heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; —– but [that] thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. 

Paul walked “orderly” – “Lawfully”  - and kept the Torah.

Do “you” that want that Law abolished understand the contact (Covenant) God made with children of Israel put those that did not rest on the Sabbath to death? 

Are you saying God does change?  One day it is death to break the Sabbath Commandment and the next day it is not??  Your god is not the same yesterday, today and tomorrow?  Your god changes the rules from time to time ??

Are you folks saying Christ came with two (2) Gospels, one before and one after His death ?? 

Why would Christ preach a soon to be “aborted” gospel  for 3 ½ year and then have His apostles preach a totally different one after His death?  Is that not counter productive??

Why would Christ waste time preaching a ‘dead’ gospel??

Are the Words spoken by Christ found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John – were those  WORDS – those teachings only for the duration of Christ’s 3 ½ years on earth —

some have told me Christ only taught for the Jews during His ministry and once He died that ministry was over and everything was changed.  Really ????

Matthew 5

17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil — (to make complete — by adding the spiritual to the physical).

18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Do you folks that demand the LAW be abolished — Do you really believe Jesus Christ was misinformed or made a mistake or was just a little confused when He spoke verse 19 ??

Do you – not — believe with all that is in you:  

“MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD!”

We are to live by every single WORD spoken by our GOD, by every single WORD that comes from the mouth of GOD!

The 5 Books of Moses called  The TORAH: AKA THE LAW!

Genesis;

Exodus,

Leviticus,

Numbers

Deuteronomy

all came from the mouth of GOD, Moses only wrote them down.
