Archer Materials reported advancements in its graphene and carbon-based quantum computing research during the December 2025 quarter. The company made key progress in its 12CQ project by improving quantum state readout for its carbon-based qubit materials – a step that de‑risks the program and moves it closer to demonstrating a working qubit.
Archer successfully demonstrated electrical detection of quantum spin states directly on a chip and achieved electrical gating of its carbon films using electrically detected magnetic resonance, supporting precise control of charge and spin at the nanoscale. The team completed multiple design and fabrication cycles refining gating and single‑electron transistor architectures, both critical to scalable qubit development.
