Rimac Technology Debuts Solid-State Batteries and Next-Gen e-Axles at IAA 2025
At IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, Rimac Technology pulled the wraps off its latest portfolio of advanced EV tech, showcasing breakthroughs in batteries, powertrains, and vehicle electronics.
On the battery side, Rimac introduced a solid-state platform developed with ProLogium and Mitsubishi Chemical Group. By combining ProLogium’s cells with Mitsubishi’s materials expertise, the system delivers higher energy density, lighter packaging, and improved safety. Alongside this, Rimac revealed its “Evo Technology” batteries—leveraging 46XX Gen2 NMC cells and a thermoplastic composite housing co-developed with Kautex Textron—plus hybrid-ready packs designed for both high-energy and power-dense applications.
The powertrain updates were equally impressive. Rimac’s new SINTEG 300 & 550 eAxles achieve more than 8 kW/kg power density and 90 Nm/kg torque density, with outputs ranging from 150–360 kW. A production-ready Dual EM EDU 550 eAxle, capable of delivering over 11,000 Nm of axle torque, enters series production in 2026.
Rimac also unveiled next-gen domain and zonal ECUs powered by NXP processors, consolidating multiple control units into high-performance controllers that enable software-defined vehicles with reduced complexity, weight, and cost.
All of these innovations will be industrialized at Rimac’s facilities in Croatia, which now cover more than 95,000 m². With this portfolio, Rimac is positioning itself not just as a hypercar maker, but as a core technology supplier shaping the future of electrification.
