“According to Koepp, the newly introduced Mutadons are a combination of raptors and pterosaurs. Raptors have always been a prominent dinosaur species in the Jurassic Park franchise, but pterosaurs have also appeared in several movies. Pterosaurs have wings, which is why the Mutadons can also fly in Jurassic World Rebirth.”
Note the bipedal gait and short-chord wing membrane (= tightly folded and without traditional droop) of the pterosaur wing in the mutadon. Good job, Hollywood!
Also note the BIG body and THICK tail in figure 1. If this creature could fly, it was not following typical ‘raptor’, bird nor pterosaur morphologies or weight restrictions.
Also note the lack of intergument = feathers or ptero-fuzz.
Also note the lack of extradermal ornament for display, common in birds and pteros.

That Hollywood combo of unrelated taxa
(Fig 1) recalls an earlier light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek attempt at mixing taxa when I gave a symposium talk on bipedal basal pterosaurs (Fig 2) back in the 1990s.
