And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is THE WAY, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. (Isa 30:21)

Jesus saith unto him, I am THE WAY, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of THIS WAY, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. (Acts 9:2)

The Bible is quite clear that the vast majority of Christians are NOT SAVED.

They only believe they are saved because their false preachers and teachers told them so, all based upon false salvation doctrines: “sinner’s prayers,” sabbath-keeping, “just believe John 3:16,” altar calls, the “ABCs of salvation,” and the like.

In reality, these many Christians have entered the wide gate and are walking confidently down the broad way (Matt 7:13); NOT diligently studying their Bibles for themselves; therefore, ignoring the specific warnings of Jesus; and horrifyingly, headed to eternal ruin.

The other pathway Jesus told us about is to enter in at the strait gate and walk the narrow way (Matt 7:14). Jesus said this would lead us to (eternal) LIFE. Jesus said this way is very, very difficult.

Jesus said that salvation comes at the END of the narrow way walk. The false preachers and teachers put it at the beginning, when we first believe.

The latter might (or might not) be a true Christian CONVERSION; but it is not authentic REGENERATION/being BORN AGAIN, according to the Scriptures.

Today’s last days’ church has erroneously conflated CONVERSION with REGENERATION.

It is a deadly error and sends millions to eternal ruin. Jesus and Peter specifically warned us that this would happen.

OBJECTION: But what about the “thief on the cross”? Didn’t he have an “instant salvation”?

ANSWER: The “thief on the cross” is not a parable of “instant salvation”. While today’s apostate church teaches it as such, it is actually the perfect parable of the strait gate/narrow way to salvation.

The strait gate/narrow way is THE WAY of true, Biblical salvation. It is the only way Jesus gave us to become authentically BORN AGAIN. Peter told us that it would be evil spoken of, and so it is.

Acts 11:26 tells us that the followers of Jesus were first called “Christians” in Antioch.

According to the Nelson Bible Study Notes on Acts 11:26:

Originally, the church called themselves “The Way.”

So, before being called “Christians,” the followers of Jesus were known as people of THE WAY.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in THE WAY which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Ps 32:8)

Which WAY?

The Scriptures Tell Us: The strait gate/narrow way commanded by Jesus (Matt 7:13-14); the only way Jesus gave us to lay hold of AUTHENTIC SALVATION.

The following twelve quotes are from twelve different narrow way walkers; some have been on the walk for a long time, some for a shorter time; but all are pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Phil 3:14).

I believe all of these quotes are from the Holy Spirit, but decide for yourself.

#1: I had been searching for the truth for a long time and I was hungry for it.

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. (Ps 22:26)

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; (Prov 2:4)

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. (Prov 25:2)

#3: The narrow way is a stripping process. It strips away what you think you know, what you think is good, who you think you are.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1John 2:27)

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (2Pet 2:1)

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (2Pet 2:2)

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Rev 3:17)

#11: It was right in front of me the whole time as I studied the scriptures from various theological perspectives, yet most of them seemed to miss this key doctrine of salvation, which is based on the heart.

Brothers and sisters: Which pathway are you on?

Prove it out yourself using the Scriptures and a Strong’s Concordance and the Holy Spirit to guide.

Try to prove it wrong. The Lord will show you the truth.
