“The Love of God”…A Poem of Gratitude for His Grace — Via the Wayfaring Gal (12/22/2024)
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. (2Thess 3:5)
I awoke in the middle-of-the-night as I so often do; but this time, I heard the words below, as I arose, in praise and honour of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is only by His grace that we are given this narrow road to travel.
It’s been quite some time since any poetry to the Lord has come to my mind, so I wrote it down and wanted to share it:
THE LOVE OF GOD
We must be born again, born from above
To be covered by God’s
Divine Agape Love
Jesus gave us only one way
And this we must walk
Each and every single day
The gate is strait, the way is narrow
As we duck and dodge
Every fiery dart and arrow
Help me Dear Lord, and strengthen me
A God-fearing woman
Is what I need to be
Time is short, though the day seems long
There won’t be much time
Until my life is gone
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. (Jas 4:14)
