The Book of Revelation tells us about the events that will happen in the Tribulation which we are on the verge of entering into. This is the sixth of several judgments of the earth.
The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. What this describes is World War lll. The four angels which are bound must be bad angels, that is why they are bound. When they are released they go out to kill humanity. Of course they probably don’t do it by themselves, they use their proxies like nuclear nations to do their bidding. That’s how they can kill one third of mankind or about 2 billion people. That is a lot of people, but with several nations having nuclear weapons it should not take long. Some estimates say that a nuclear war would only last a couple hours. This is the very worst thing that can happen on earth, but it will. Also notice that this was written 2000 years ago and it is precise to the very hour.
