Monogenes has two primary definitions, “pertaining to being the only one of its kind within a specific relationship” and “pertaining to being the only one of its kind or class, unique in kind”.
Think of the classification of the animal kingdom:
Jesus was the monogenes Son of God. Jesus was the ONLY BORN of its kind or class!!!
WHY MUST WE BE BORN AGAIN?
When we are first born into this fallen world we walk after ‘the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience’.

This spirit of disobedience leads us to sin when we walked after the lusts of our flesh G4561 which is the body (as opposed to the soul (or spirit).
The only one that was ever born pure, living a sinless life is Jesus, the monogenes (ONLY BORN of its kind or class) Son of God.
