The Composite Beast
THE COMPOSITE BEAST
Introduction
The end-times world leader known or called by many as the antichrist is not actually called the antichrist in the Bible. In the book of the Revelation he is called the beast. Other places in Scripture he is referred to as “the man of sin”, “the son of perdition (ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): – damnable)”, “the lawless one”, and in Daniel he is denoted as the “little horn” and the king. The word “antichrist” can be found in the letters of John depicting a person who is opposed to Christ or teaches divergent doctrines to those of Christ.
Jesus refers to Judas as the “son of perdition” in John 17:12 and Paul refers to the end-times ruler as both the “son of perdition” and as the “man of sin” in 2nd Thessalonians 2:3.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. (John 17:12 KJV)
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. (Psalms 41:9 KJV)
The Composite Beast Empire
Two times in the Revelation and once in Daniel, a composite beast is introduced. It may have multiple heads, multiple horns, and various animal type body parts. On some occasions there will be crowns upon the heads. The composite beast is always symbolic of several empires and it also may be symbolic of a king, ruler, or an entity of some type.
Revelation 12:3 KJV
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
We will begin our study of the composite beast empire with the appearance of the dragon in Revelation 12:3. This composite beast, which is later identified as a Satan-type entity, is representative of the empire instigated by Satan throughout the history of the Hebrew-Israelite people. The purpose of this historical empire has been to prevent the birth of the woman’s Son who will bruise (crush NIV, attack NET) the head of the serpent or Satan as prophesied in Genesis.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise (crush, attack) thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15 KJV)
All authority will be subject to this child and He will rule and control the nations with a rod of iron. The Son of Man / the Son of God will replace the “prince (king) of this world”. This explains why Satan has attempted to kill Him or His linage from the foundation of civilization. This attack on the linage of Jesus included the children of Adam and Eve, with Abel as the initial victim, and the pre-flood disaster involving the mating of angelic entities with human women (Genesis 6).
The dragon, as described here, has seven heads with each head having a crown. Satan has previously activated six historical empires for the purpose of destroying the Hebrew-Israelite people with the hope of destroying the seed of the woman thus preventing the birth of the Son, Jesus Christ. The first was the Egyptian empire, that was initially hosting the Hebrew people as refugees during the seven years of draught and famine. Over time, with a change of rulers, the Hebrew people became a nuisance and were enslaved as farmers and construction workers. Through Satan’s influence, the pharaoh issued a decree to kill all male children of a certain age. However, God saved Moses, who later became the leader of the Hebrew exodus from Egypt. The Satanically inspired pharaoh had to be decimated with plagues, the death of all first born sons, and his army drowned by the wrath of God before he would conclude his assault.
The second head was the Assyrians. They destroyed the northern kingdom of Israel and deported all the inhabitants that could be found. Their next assault was the southern kingdom of Judah, but the Assyrian army was decimated by an angel of the Lord before conceding and returning home. The Babylonians as the third kingdom destroyed Judah and deported many of the Judeans. With the Persian empire as the fourth, there is the story in the book of Esther of Haman and his attempt to eradicate the Jews (Judeans). After the fall of Babylon to the Persian king Cyrus the Great in 539 BCE, exiled Jews began to return to the land of Judah
The fifth head, the Greek empire, begins with Alexander the Great. At his entry into the area of Israel, Alexander was shown the prophecies in the book of Daniel speaking of the Greek empire. This impressed him and he left Judea with no harm but after his death, the four generals who divided his empire among themselves, rendered the middle-east, along with Judea, a war zone. Antiochus Epiphanes instigated the foreshadowing abomination of desolation which was referred to by Jesus as a prophetic preview of an event that would reoccur in the last days of the antichrist.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
(Matthew 24:15 KJV)
The Roman Empire is head number six. The Satanically inspired Herod copied the stratagem of the Pharaoh and ordered the death of all male children two years and under, but the parents of Jesus had been warned and escaped to Egypt. Later, the Pharisees and the other religious leaders of Judea had Jesus crucified providing Satan the expectation he had finally succeeded. He later discovered, that not only had he failed, but had inadvertently participated in his own downfall and destruction when Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven and the throne of God.
This leaves us with the seventh and future head which will be personified and described in Revelation chapters 13 and 17. Revelationcommentary.org claims that all 7 beast kingdoms existed in the past which they list as: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media, Persia, Greece, and Rome. I disagree with them because the prophecies of Daniel always list Media and Persia as a combination of one empire and it is my opinion that the last or 7th beast will be the one of the “man of lawlessness” or the antichrist. This concept is supported by Chris White in his books, False Christ and Mystery Babylon. The beast has failed to kill the linage of the child Son or the Son of God, but the final beast empire will initially attempt to kill all Christians or create denial of believers and will then attempt to destroy all Judeans who may be a part of God’s remnant.
At the second coming of Jesus, Satan will attempt to adjourn his personal destruction by assembling the armies of the world to oppose the Son of God at the battle which is generally referred to as Armageddon.
THE FOURTH BEAST OF DANIEL
Daniel 7:2-8 KJV
Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. (3) And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. (4) The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. (5) And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. (6) After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (7) After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse (It refers to a difference that has become evident; to violate) from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. (8) I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up (It refers to tearing something out, destroying it, pulling it out by the roots. It is used figuratively of tearing out men or rulers) by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
[Highlighted areas above (and below) were taken from the Word Study Dictionary]
Prior to discussing the 7th and final beast kingdom first referenced in Revelation 13 and then chapter 17, we will look at the beast of Daniel 7 which has some common characteristics to the final beast.
Daniel is given a vision of 4 beasts coming up out of the sea in chapter 7 of his book. Most commentators of the Dallas Theological Seminary school of prophecy persuasion such as Hal Lindsey, and Tim LaHaye maintain that these 4 beasts are the same as the statue sections of Daniel chapter 2. However Dr. Charles Cooper, Chris White, myself, and maybe a few others disagree and believe that the 4 beasts of Daniel 7 are countries or empires that will exist in the last-days and will continue to exist for a while. Most commentators agree that the 4th beast mentioned in Daniel is the beast empire initially appearing in Revelation 13 and that it is controlled by the antichrist (beast), but it is not necessarily a revived Roman empire and most likely is not Roman at all as the Dallas Seminary progeny still claim.
The first three beasts listed in Daniel 7 had their dominion or ruling power taken away yet Daniel 7:12 indicates their existence was prolonged for a few years even after the beast in thrown into the lake of fire at the beginning of the millinium. They will continue to exist and are counted among the 10 horns on the composite beast of Revelation chapters 13 and 17.
(11) I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. (12) As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
(Daniel 7:11-12 KJV)
It is my opinion (although I could be wrong) that the antichrist or little horn, initially takes political control of these first three beasts but they remain as entities of the world empire he is crafting.
I considered the (10) horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots (Daniel 7:8 KJV)
According to the various translations of this scripture, it appears that the little horn does not necessarily conquer and destroy three of the horns, but subdues, humbles, or humiliates them.
and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. (KJV, NIV, & NHL)
but he will be different from the earlier ones. He will humiliate three kings. (NET)
and it is diverse from the former, and three kings it humbleth; (Young’s LT, & Green’s LT)
The antichrist (beast) initiates his operation with 3 of the 10 (horns) regions of the world. The remaining 7 regions may merely deliver their authority to him (beast).
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
(Revelation 17:12-13 KJV)
Let’s now compare the first three beasts of Daniel 7 with the beast of Revelation 13. Notice that the 1st was like a lion, the 2nd like a bear, and the 3rd was like a leopard.
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (Daniel 7:3-6 KJV)
Now, let’s have a look at the beast in Revelation 13 that rises from the sea. It also has 10 horns (still intact) and was like a leopard, feet as a bear, and mouth as a lion. In addition to 7 heads, it has 10 horns, and the appearance of a lion, bear, and leopard as did the beast of Daniel 7. The conclusion: it is basically the same beast.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:1-2 KJV)
In Revelation 13 the 10 horns still have 10 crowns, therefore the three uprooted horns in Daniel 7 are still present with a certain amount of authority but everything is now controlled by the antichrist (beast, little horn).
Revelation chapter 12 has a description of a great red dragon which has been shown to be the kingdoms of the devil or Satan. This dragon has a similar appearance to the beast of Revelation 13 except the crowns are on the heads instead of the horns. This description of the dragon in Revelation 12 appears before the beast rising from the sea so therefore the 10 horns would not have any dominion at this point. The seven crowned heads represent Satan’s historical antichrist beast empires prior to the last or 8th which is also of the 7 (see Rev 17:10).
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. (Revelation 12:3 KJV)
Daniel 7:23-24 KJV
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse (It refers to a difference that has become evident; to violate) from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (24) And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue (It describes figuratively the bringing down or making humble the prideful person) three kings.
In Daniel 7:23 an angel gives Daniel more information concerning the fourth beast he has been allowed to view. It will be diverse, meaning visually different and it will be a violation. It will encompass the entire world, violate the world, and execute much destruction. The little horn will also be diverse (visually different and a violation). He will usurp the power and authority of three kings, but the kingdoms will remain.
Daniel 8:23-25 KJV
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors (those who apostatize) are come to the full (complete), a king of fierce countenance (defiant attitude), and understanding dark sentences (hard question, proverb, riddle), shall stand up (arise). (24) And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully (great, difficult, wonderful: hard, hidden, things too high), and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. (25) And through his policy also he shall cause craft (false, feigned, guile, subtilly, treachery) to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace (security, prosperity) shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Daniel 8 provides additional information on the final dictator or antichrist. He will reign when apostasy the maximum of God; he will be defiant in both appearance and actions; he will answer the difficult questions (of the Judeans perhaps), or the dark questions of magic and sorcery, perhaps. His power, although mighty, will be Satan inspired (some consider an indwelling of Satan). His destruction will be awe inspiring, in an evil sense to some. He will destroy the mighty people (the Judeans?) and the saints (Christians), and will destroy through feigned acts of peace. When he stands up to Jesus Christ, he will be defeated forever.
Daniel 9:27 KJV
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations (disgusting, that is, filthy; especially idolatrous) he shall make it desolate (devastate or (figuratively) stupefy), even until the consummation (completely; also destruction), and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The beast will confirm the Old Testament sacrificial covenant for seven years. After 3 ½ years, or the mid-point, he will stop the daily sacrifice; declare himself to be “god, or the messiah god, or god in the flesh”; have an image of himself placed in or near the temple; demand that everyone worship the image or die.
THE EXPLANATION OF THE BEAST
Revelation 17:8-13 KJV
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (9) And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. (10) And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. (11) And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (12) And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. (13) These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
The composite beast and its representative dictator presented in Revelation chapter 13 will now have an explanation by an angel to John, the writer of the book.
The person of the beast (was) that was killed by a sword (is not) and will ascend from the bottomless pit (yet is). His death and apparent resurrection will instill awe and wonder among the unknowing, unelected, and unsaved (those whose names are not written in the book of life). The woman, mystery, Babylon the Great, sits on the seven heads as if they are mountains.
The seven heads, called mountains in chapter 17, are symbolic of seven historic world empires, not actual or implied mountains. Someone researching for seven actual mountains to frame this prophecy is wasting their efforts. The woman sits on the beast, she does not ride the beast. The beast is the major control factor, the woman is not in control but only represents the idolatry religion circulating around the worship of a false messiah, i.e. the beast. Rev 17:7 states that the beast carries the woman. She is carried for the immediate need of the beast to be worshipped. A restarting of the Mosaic religious system coupled with the beast’s assertion of Jewish messiah-ship followed by the proclamation of ‘god’ status is the purpose of the woman. When the final step of god status is achieved, the beast will have no further need for the woman or for the Judeans.
Bastazo Thayer Definition:
1) to take up with the hands 2) to take up in order to carry or bear, to put upon one’s self 2a) to bear what is burdensome 3) to bear, to carry
But the angel said to me, “Why are you astounded? I will interpret for you the mystery of the woman and of the beast with the seven heads and ten horns that carries her. (Revelation 17:7 NET)
The scripture phrase, “The seven heads are seven mountains” has produced an avalanche of “the seven mountains” hunting. Most everyone has heard of “the seven hills of Rome” and the concept of a revived Roman empire is the oldest and most well-known end-times prophecy utterance in existence. Therefore, the woman sitting on the 7 hills of Rome, is a natural prophetic indication to most commentators. Some have even said there are 7 mountains in Jerusalem and a few other cities.
Verse 10 presents a translation problem. The KJV reads, “and there are seven kings:” when the majority of translations read, “and they are seven kings.”
The words “there are” in the KJV should read, according to the original Greek, as, “they are”. Strong’s Greek dictionary reads for this particular word as: Third person plural present indicative of G1510; they are. Thayer Greek Dictionary and Word Study Greek Dictionary both agree with Strong’s. The disputed phrase should read, “And they are seven kings.” The seven heads are seven kings perhaps with the authority of a mountain.
Verse 11 reiterates the beast was the 7th head; he was killed with a sword (is not); he ascended from the abyss and became the 8th head but is still the 7th head (or he is one of the seven). The first six heads are: Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Greece; Roman Empire. I see no need to attempt to assign the names of rulers to these kingdoms as some have tried. There is another scripture verse that describes the beast ascending from the bottomless pit.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (Revelation 11:7 KJV
CONCLUSION
Background Information
According to the Club of Rome treatise the world is to be divided into 10 areas or empires for the coming new world order. This concept is also a major teaching tool of ‘The Cutting Edge” website (http://www.cuttingedge.org). I am well aware that a Club of Rome document is not scripture, therefore lightly treading is the current movement.
For all practical purposes, Mexico has been annexed as the 51st state which is part of the CR plan. The non-cooperative independent dictator leaders of northern Africa have been put out of power and replaced with more compliant leadership. The replacements may be more barbaric but they are more easily controlled. Central Africa has seen the rise of several militant brainless groups like Boko Harem. There is also a rise of various plagues such as Ebola, TB, and others. There is the rise of Isis or Isil in the Mideast. It is the intention of the NWO to create several new Mideast countries and redefine the border lines. Although Syria has presently escaped the lies and false flag clutches of the NWO it will probably just be a matter of time. The entire world is expected to operate an electronic banking system and to cooperate with the goals of the NWO, which is the reason uncooperative dictatorships and technologically backward African and Mideast countries are being assaulted by various means. Independent South American countries are being bankrupted in addition to civil disputes and civil unrest.
It appears that the bankers, corporations, Zionists, and globalists in general, are hard at work to make this transformation. Whether it happens or not is debatable. Satan may have other plans when he is thrown out of the heavenly places. However, only the Lord God is in complete control and it will occur as He has planned. One thing is certain – many people will die.
The CR plan is not prophetic, but it is my belief that the plan is being used to fulfill certain contingencies of the last-days prophecy. My first association of the plan came from The Cutting Edge internet site at a time when the Middle East and African wars were not being waged, and when the USA government was not obviously attempting to dismantle the USA’s industrial base and allow a flood of Hispanic and other people into the country. Europe is undergoing the same transformation with Muslims and Africans.
The Cutting Edge site has stated, for years, that the appearance of the antichrist (beast) would not happen until the Club of Rome plan to organize the world into 10 regions became reality. They may be correct. The amount of time left is unknown but it appears to be occurring at a faster pace every day.
The Last Beast
(13:1) …..having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten diadems, and on its heads names of blasphemy. (13:2) And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion’s mouth.
It has been pointed out that the last beast of Rev 13:1-2 has animal-like characteristics that are very similar to the first three beasts of Daniel 7: Leopard; Bear; and Lion. The “little horn” subdues three of the ten horns of the fourth beast. It is my opinion that these three subdued horns comprise the body of the beast of Rev 13.
After subduing three of the world kingdoms, the beast then goes into the Mideast section and cleans up or destroys those areas that the CR group could not achieve. He also conquers the northern African countries and the remainder of Africa may not be an issue for the beast. The remaining world areas or empires may accede their authority to the beast as stated in Rev 17:12.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
