Breaking News: Three Letters of Support for Ken Cromar Reveal Harassment and Corruption
Three letters of support for Ken Cromar have been received and we have been asked to share them with family, friends and the world. There is also an indication that other letters of support are on their way as well. It is the desire of each of the authors to show the court and the world the true nature of Ken Cromar and his honorable efforts to tell the truth. The letters speak for themselves:

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Richard Mack and I am the former sheriff of Graham County, AZ and a former peace officer and detective with Provo Police. I am also the primary litigant in the Printz v US ruling at the U S Supreme Court in June of 1997.
I have testified in every level of court in Utah, Arizona, and the U S Government, including Tax Court. I have followed the criminality of the IRS for over 30 years. I personally have never had any interaction with the IRS, so I have no personal axe to grind with them.
However, I have done extensive research on IRS “Whistle-blowers” and I’m astonished that the IRS has somehow survived all of it. In fact, I am still amazed that we, the American People and the courts, have allowed the IRS to continue its ruthless and cruel conduct. Jennifer Long, Joseph Banister, Sherry Jackson, and John Turner are all IRS Agents who have come out publicly assailing the criminal and unethical misconduct of the IRS. In fact, former agent Sherry Jackson, went to prison for it. However, she is to this day very vocal about the routine crimes committed by the IRS.
The long and sordid history of the IRS should be considered by every court in this nation and no American should be subject to IRS tactics without extreme oversight by all levels of the checks and balances of all three branches of government.
With the foregoing as a backdrop to this letter, I would testify in any court anywhere in the United States that Ken Cromar is 100% more trustworthy than the IRS. He does not have a history of fabricating evidence against innocent citizens, he has never worked for U S Presidents to go after their political enemies, and he has never violated the rights of any American to due process or destroyed one’s innate right to their Pursuit of Happiness.
Ken Cromar has never caused, no, not one single person, to become homeless or impoverished. But the IRS has done all these atrocities and much more. Ken Cromar has had no criminal intent regarding any of the charges he might be facing. He is a humble and sincere man. He is a man of his word and is absolutely no flight risk. If he gives his word, he will keep it.
With all my heart I vouch for him and would put my reputation on the line for him and his wife, even though, I do not know Mrs. Cromar hardly at all. I know who she married. I invite any opportunity to testify in court regarding any of the information in this letter.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Respectfully,
Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret)

Dear Honorable Judge,
I have known Ken Cromar and his family since they moved into my neighborhood nearly 30 years ago. We became fast friends as the Cromar’s house was the house of neighborhood gathering. They have always been very generous with their time and resources. I can’t count the times they have come to my aid when I struggled, and not once were they asked to do so. Some of those times we were struggling equally. One time, while engaged in a conversation with Ken at the local grocery store help counter, he interrupted his own sentence and told me he’d be right back. I watched him run to the produce section, grab a bouquet of flowers, run through the check out, and then run out into the parking lot. He soon returned, a little out of breath, and said he saw an elderly woman, in whom he was not acquainted, that just looked like she could use a little happiness. At his return, we finished our conversation. This is only one example of how he has always tried to be in tune with the needs of others. I’ve observed Ken practice his love of serving others innumerable times as he entertained the single, sad, lonely, down trodden, grieving, out of work, and homeless in his own home. As a film maker, he’d hire crew members and actors (I’ve been both) because he knew they needed the money, not necessarily based on their talent. As I know him, he has always wanted what is best for everyone.
Ken was elected a member of the Cedar Hills City Council. He loved Cedar Hills, its history and its people, and wanted to serve them. He dug deep into the history of the area that had been settled by pioneers, put together a booklet compiled of stories and memories of the city’s past and present residents, and was an instigator of the “Manila Days” yearly celebration, which continues to this day as “Cedar Hills Days”. With his talent in research and service, he also found, questioned, and exposed some of the corruption that was occurring within the Cedar Hills boundaries, and even the Council. This, of course, didn’t sit well with many involved in the Cedar Hills Council, city employees, and even Cedar Hills residents.
I have personally suggested Ken refrain from sharing some of the information that he found, because Cedar Hills is quite small and I was pretty sure there could be repercussions. On most of these occasions, he has felt an obligation to let the residents know his findings. Needless to say, the tensions began to grow stronger as people tried to discredit Ken’s information. This seems to be about the time the Cromar’s were targeted by people with power, and others who didn’t know better.
Ken and Barbara Cromar kept their personal matters to themselves, as most of us do, until it was required for them to explain or justify actions that may have been different from those of us who know them well, and even those who don’t know them at all. They were exposed in what seemed like a hostile way, with judgement coming long before the truth or an explanation could be revealed. I believe this is what lead to the miscommunication and actions that were taken against them in a number of ways, including the reasons for which they have been charged. Many of their neighbors, most unaware of the full weight of the charges that were being brought against the Cromars, had their own privacy and security threatened when a SWAT team and others came into their homes with guns pointed out their windows at the Cromar’s house, a seemingly over use of force when the Cromars had not committed any type of physical threat to anyone. This display was more bait for rumors about what kind of crime the Cromar’s must have committed. Because of the SWAT incident, many of those neighbors blame the Cromar’s for taking away their security and trust. The truth of this incident has grown into a barrage of mostly false tales of the Cromar’s iniquities. This once peaceful and respected family has become the local laughing stock.
The Cromar’s were forced to vacate their home years ago. They did so peacefully and without incident, and I’m quite sure they believed they hadn’t done anything to deserve eviction or losing their home and property. I do not believe they meant to break the law or bring fear to their neighbors when they returned to their home. To know the Cromar’s as I do, and in this case specifically Ken, is to know that he is a peace keeping law abiding God serving kind and generous person who would never be able to justify harming anyone. He takes pride in doing the right thing, being honest, having integrity, and peacefully standing up for what is right.

Re: Paul Kenneth Cromar
Case No: 2:23-CR-00159
Dear Judge Nielson,
I am writing this letter as a friend of the court to provide insight into the character of Paul K. Cromar and to respectfully request the court to consider releasing him from jail or allowing him out on bail as he awaits and prepares for trial. I understand the gravity of the charges faced by Mr. Cromar and the court’s concern for justice and public safety. I do not wish to undermine these priorities but rather offer a perspective that may not have been presented on his behalf. My name is Sam Bushman. I have been friends with the Cromar family and have worked with Ken in a professional capacity for more than 20 years.
No Flight Risk: From my longstanding relationship with Ken and his wife Barbra I can attest to their deep roots in our community. Before recent events have taken place, they have had a stable residence at 9870 N Meadow Dr Cedar Hills, Ut 84062 for over 30 years and have family ties, including many friends and several children in the area and an elderly mother who relies on them. The potential fallout and harm to their reputation and relationships if they were to flee would be immense and contrary to their character.
Gainful Employment: Mr. Cromar is a full-time film maker / producer and has been in this professional line of work for several decades. He even has movie credits that include All Dogs Go to Heaven and The Land Before Time. This employment not only ties Ken and Barb to our community but also provides a necessary means of supporting their family.
Active Community Member: Ken and his wife Barb have consistently demonstrated their commitment to our community. They have been involved in local church callings / activities, School Projects with their children, Ken even served on the Cedar Hills City Council.
Effective Trial Preparation: Being incarcerated severely limits his ability to actively participate in his defense. Access to advisors, gathering evidence, and engaging in necessary legal discussions is restricted. His release would ensure a fair trial process as it would allow them ample opportunity to prepare, consult, and strategize.
Prior Record and Character: To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Cromar has no prior criminal history and has always been known for his honesty, diligence, and integrity. Ken and Barb have shown respect for the law, an understanding of the gravity of the current situation.
I humbly request the court to weigh these considerations when deciding on Ken Cromar’s release. While the justice system must protect society and ensure individuals face the consequences of their actions, it is equally imperative to ensure that the rights of the accused are preserved and that they are given a fair chance to prepare for their trial.
Thank you for considering my perspective. I am willing to provide further information or testimony if required.
Respectfully,
Sam Bushman
