Rossling & Co.’s ultra-thin automatic watch gets funded 21 minutes after launching on Kickstarter

Montreal, Qc (MMD Newswire) October 22, 2014 – Rossling & Co. launched its first automatic watch on Kickstarter.com on October 7, 2014, getting funded in just 21 minutes and at time of release, reaching US$98,000 in financing. It has already garnered positive reviews among several top watch reviewers for its design, affordability and quality. It is currently among Kickstarter’s most funded live product campaigns. The watch is an ultra-thin, luxury automatic watch and will retail for US$499.

Nadim Elgarhy, Rossling & Co.’s co-founder and designer, says he wanted to create a minimalist watch with a timeless design; an automatic version of the company’s first highly successful watch launched last year. The automatic’s 29 jewel, Miyota Calibre 9015 movement, ultra-thin 0.35″ thickness, sapphire crystal and unique suede strap, place the watch firmly in the luxury watch category. The watch’s movement has been favorably compared to the ETA2824 movement used in watches such as Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross and Tudor and is well known for its durability and precision.

In an era of disposable products, one of the founders’ goals was to create an heirloom-quality watch with a timelessness of design and quality of materials that will allow it to be worn for generations.
