To me this is the most important part of prepping for a number of reasons. 1) Practicing this before a life changing event is great for when you need to grow your own food. 2) If there’s not a life changing event then this saves on your food bill. 3) You can learn how to save and preserve any excess crops through pressure canning or if you’re lucky enough, freeze drying. 4) Knowing how and when to plant crops is an invaluable skill to bring to the table if you have to go to a community that is not familiar with you. 5) Food will always be something you can barter with. I’m sure most of your viewers don’t know that some crops will survive in the winter and having fresh vegetables in the winter will be a huge bargaining chip if you need to barter. The list can go on.
