The real tragedy is that his obviously top-notch research and fact finding led him down the alt-right** rabbit hole and into the anxious and waiting arms of thousands of readers longing for a book that confirms so many of the conspiracy theories*** the author initially promises not to succumb to. His use of a fiction character as the baggage handler for all he wants to say, but refuses to utter from his own mouth, is a sorry attempt at deflection.

There is no discernable story**** despite the presence of multiple characters begging to be fleshed out rather than moved about like mannequins. His primary character is a perfect choice for a means to give voice to the political views which seem to repeatedly contradict the author’s own research and initial conclusions, but what we get is a fictional character clearly on his way to a mental collapse and likely mass shooter end.

I wish the author nothing but the best of luck in his future writings, but who needs luck when you have tapped into a dark minded audience anxious to hear an echo of their own misbegotten beliefs and twisted loyalties to those who mean them nothing but harm***** in the end?

There isn’t enough space to say how bad this book was. Where do I start? Let me begin by saying I am NOT a card-carrying liberal. So take this as from a moderate independent… this book is bad. It’s written with long, flowery sentences that smack of a sixth grade creative writing assignment. Aside from the run-on sentences, and poor grammar this work of fiction sounds like anything but that. There is little to no dialog between characters- just long, drawn out wacky ideas and complaints about everything that is wrong with the country.

The story revolves around a writer trying to finish a novel and re-hashing its contents in the pages of the story. Boring? Yes. Reads more like a letter to the editor in a cheap newspaper rather than a work of fiction. I felt I wasted my money on this one. Wish I had not bought it.

 

Now, following is a Review from AN ACTUAL LIBERAL (Her and Her Mothers joint Amazon Account) Friend of a Friend of a Friend, so I KNOW with certainty She (Chris) Votes LIBERAL DEMOCRAT every single time (and exactly why She is a “Friend of a Friend of a Friend” and NOT my Friend; my Friends, Friend, bought Her and Her Mother to Read hoping to “change her mind on a few things they couldn’t ‘talk sense’ into Her” (their words) and asked it be given a “Fair Reading” (and I hear Her Mother called it “The Best Book of the Year” She’d read, but here is Chris’ review); I have cut THE CRAZY out of my Life (deal with RATIONAL PEOPLE ONLY NOW) and therefore no real interest in BeFriending Her directly and adding Her to my list of (CLOSE or even remotely) FRIENDS (but was VERY KIND of her to give a FAIR (from Left perspective) Review I wish to share))…

US / Western “Republic” limits Govt affords, demands it protects, “We The People” Sovereign God given Rights, unlike Republics in East (China, Iran, N. Korea, Russia) whose “Republic Constitution” grant the Ruling Party and Government Power to give or take Rights to/from their Peoples.
