Zorro Ranch: What the Feds Never Wanted You to Know
When I first reported on Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, I focused on his transhumanism agenda — his disturbing obsession with seeding his DNA and reshaping humanity through selective reproduction. That story was alarming enough on its own.
The latest Epstein file dump has taken this story somewhere far darker. We’re now looking at allegations of murder, buried bodies, and a federal cover-up. The fact that it has taken this long for anyone in an official capacity to demand real answers should disturb every American.
The Ranch Itself
Epstein purchased this 26,700 square-foot hilltop mansion in 1993 from former New Mexico Governor Bruce King. The property has a private runway, helipad, seven-bay heated garage, and firehouse. According to documents in the newly released files, what’s above ground may be the least interesting part.
Emails with attached photos labeled “underground tunnel” suggest substantial subterranean structures, and some documents speculate the property has as many as six levels below ground. Epstein was leasing an additional 1,200 acres of surrounding state land — a buffer that that could make activities undetectable.
The Investigation That Was Killed
In 2019, New Mexico’s then-Attorney General Hector Balderas built a case against Epstein and the ranch based on victim interviews, compiled reports, and documented evidence.
The same office that was supposedly prosecuting the Epstein case, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, had issued a stand-down order to Balderas — instructing him to cease any investigation into sex trafficking at the ranch and promising to pass along any relevant information. They never did. No search warrants were ever issued. No additional charges beyond those already filed were ever brought.
In July 2019, he forwarded everything to the Department of Justice, fully confident that the feds would take it from there.
One month later, in August 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell.
It appears that the federal case died with him.
The latest file dump now confirms that federal agents never searched the Zorro Ranch property. An email from December 2019, sent from prosecutors to the executors of the Epstein estate, openly stated that federal agents had not searched the ranch. This is the same property the feds had previously told Balderas to stop investigating.
The evidence has never been acted on.
The Murder Allegations
Here’s where this story takes an even more disturbing turn.
Three months after Epstein’s death, in November 2019, a New Mexico radio host Eddy Aragon received an encrypted email. The sender claimed to be a former Zorro Ranch employee. He alleged in a message that two foreign girls had been strangled during violent sexual assaults at the ranch, and their bodies were allegedly buried in the hills surrounding the property.
The sender claimed this was allegedly done under the direction of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The sender also claimed to have videos taken directly from Epstein’s home — footage allegedly showing the sexual abuse of minors — and was holding onto them as insurance against future litigation.
In exchange for the videos and the burial locations, the sender asked for one Bitcoin, which at the time was worth roughly $8,000.
Aragon took it seriously. He forwarded the email to the FBI within days of receiving it, then personally walked into an FBI field office to make sure it was received and on the record. A 2021 report confirms the Bureau received his follow-up visit.
According to the latest file dump, nothing was done, still no charges filed. No search of the property. No follow-up that anyone can publicly account for.
The Ranch Was Quietly Sold
In 2023, the Zorro Ranch property was sold at auction, the buyer has since renamed the property San Rafael Ranch. A spokesperson for the new owner has confirmed that no local, state, or federal authority has ever requested access to the property, but that full cooperation will be given if and when they do.
But how did that property change hands without a single federal agent ever having set foot on it with a search warrant when it was connected to such a high-profile case?
Reviving the Case
New Mexico Land Commissioner Stephanie García-Richard was searching the Epstein files on her own when she discovered the buried threads of the stalled federal investigation, this raised a red flag so she immediately wrote to both the state and federal Departments of Justice demanding a full investigation into the burial allegations.
The current New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez formally reopened the state’s criminal investigation, stating plainly that “revelations outlined in the previously sealed FBI files warrant further examination.” His office has requested immediate access to the complete, unredacted federal case file and is coordinating with a newly formed legislative commission.
That commission was passed unanimously by the New Mexico House and represents the first full state-level investigation specifically focused on Zorro Ranch. It’s a bipartisan commission has already held its first meeting, and has committed to a survivor-centered inquiry.
Additionally, state lawmakers are pushing to extend New Mexico’s statute of limitations for childhood sexual assault — a move that would allow Epstein’s surviving victims to pursue civil actions that the federal system effectively denied them.
New Mexico is done waiting. Hopefully the Truth Commission will ask the questions that should have been asked years ago.
Stay tuned — this story is far from over.
