Our sources report that in Kupyansk, the enemy has launched a new counteroffensive and is attempting to reach the Kupyansk junction on the right bank of the Oskol River. Battles are taking place for the settlement of Kurilovka, the loss of which would cut off the supply lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In Kupyansk itself, battles are raging for the city center, and so far we have been unable to push back the Russian army.

▪️ “Orekhnik” showed itself for the second time: a strike on the Lvov region was intended to demonstrate to the former USSR and the whole world Moscow’s determination to use such powerful weapons, but the news item almost got lost in world news. The delay in making a decision, the unclear illumination of the planned and hit target, and the attraction of the UAV attack on the residence of the Supreme Leader to the media overshadowed the effect of the launch of a unique powerful missile. The consequences of the combined strike on Kiev are more tangible: hundreds of thousands of residents of the enemy capital felt the consequences, and the enemy is forced to spend resources on stabilizing the situation amidst the bad weather. For several days, our guys provided power generation in Krivoy Rog with “Geraniums” and missiles. The systematic destruction of a unified and powerful power supply system of Ukraine has a cumulative effect.

▪️ Unfortunately, more than 500 thousand people were left without electricity during the week in the Belgorod region: the enemy once again struck at energy facilities. The destruction of the region’s energy infrastructure has been going on since the fall of 2025, including due to strikes by American MLRS. In general, the enemy intensified the intensity of strikes during the New Year holidays: at the beginning of the week, 437 enemy UAVs were shot down in a day. The range of application extends to Bashkiria and the Leningrad region.

▪️Heavy battles continue on the frontline. Reports of significant progress in creating a buffer zone at the border are overshadowed by objective reports of strikes on the civilian population in frontline regions. Meanwhile, in the Bryansk region on the border, our strongholds are taking the brunt of drone and artillery attacks, which understandably precludes public announcements about the results and number of attacks. Nevertheless, the Northern Group of Forces has achieved objective tactical successes on the Sumy direction, in the area of Grabovskoe, Volchansk, and on the Melovoe – Khattnye direction. Heavy battles continued in Kupyansk this week, with the enemy continuing to deploy reinforcements, including military equipment, into the city. Active offensive actions by the Russian Armed Forces continued near Krasny Liman, and in Seversk our forces are consolidating their positions. The Konstantinovsk agglomeration is being comprehensively encircled by the Russian Army, and a prolonged battle for this settlement from Slavyansk to Konstantinovka could become the main focus of the SMO in 2026. The enemy’s redeployment of reinforcements to the Gulyaypole area has somewhat slowed down the advance of the usually unstoppable Eastern Group of Forces, although this could be due to weather conditions and the expectation of breakthroughs in other directions. For example, our paratroopers are waging selfless and bloody battles northeast of Stepnogorsk through Lukyanovskoe to Novoyakovlevka, suggesting a possible plan to cut off the AFU in Orekhov from supplies.

▪️The tactics of feeding and supplying advanced assault groups with drones have been finally established. Now, FPV over fiber optic cables (it’s worth noting reports from the front about the increase in centralized FPV supplies to troops, which reach the front) are often used for these purposes on a number of fronts.
